Let me start with a short explination about the "hurtful part". It was Friday and I was so excited about leaving the next day for our 8 day trip and the Sox going to the World Series, I could hardly contain myself. I stopped in town to pick up a couple of small things before heading home. Suddenly I notice a dark figure coming very fast to the right of me and the next thing I know I've landed on the left side of my forhead and ion my left knee but when I was pushed I landed on my bag so there was no way he was going to get it. I then noticed he was going for the necklace my Mother gave me on her deathbed and there was no way was I was giving it up, so with all my might I brought my right foot up and got him you know where. I had also cut the inside of my mouth when he pushed me so I spat the blood at him. This made him think twice and was gone by the time the police arrived. Even though I protested that I was alright and just wanted to go home I was taken to the ER where I spent the next 5 1/2 hours. They did a head CT because the lump that had come up was huge but they found no damage and never even looked at my knees. Hence, the hurtful part of the trip. Walking at time could be very difficult.

i hope your doing ok now. did they catch the bad guy?
i love to hear about the bad guy becoming the victim. your strength is a testament to men and women alike.if you want a job at our department let me know::yes::

I am so sorry that you had to go thru that. It makes me so mad, I know that it is not safe or smart but I would love to be around when something like that is happening. I would love to teach these tough guys what it is like being the attacked instead of the attacker. Sounds like you gave him more then he bargained for, good for you and I am glad that you enjoyed your trip.

About 10 yrs ago my parents were on vaation in Texas, they were waiting for the restaurant to open in the hotel they were staying at and were just walking on the sidewalk in broad daylight when this guy walks by and sucker punches my dad, he was in his 70's at the time, broke his glasses, closed his eye, dropped him to the pavement, scared and him and my mom very much came home from their trip 5 days early. The guy didn't take anything just looked at him and walked away. The thugs of this world need to be put in their place. Sorry for the rant very sore spot for me.

Again IluvDXL I am glad that you got your shots in and you were not hurt anymore then you were.

I'm so sorry you got hurt, but so glad you gave him some hurt too.

Oh My!!! Glad you are feeling okay now but cannot believe this happened to you. Where were you?

Luck, I was at the Prudential Center. I had just crossed the street heading for the #39 bus over by the Science Center. If you remember is was raining that afternoon so not a lot of people were out.

Oh, my gosh, I know exactly where you were (we lived in Boston for some years)!!

I am so sorry for your pain, but am so proud that you kicked that %$&*^% in the ^%&^&&. Congrats. to you and glad he didn't get your possessions!!!!

I am so sorry that happened but glad to hear that you got him good and that he couldn't get your purse or your mother's necklace. Glad that the Red Sox won as well (they certainly deserved it). Hope your trip went well and that you feel rested from the fun you had at Disney.

Oh hell ya! I am glad for the most part you are okay and he did not have a weapon on him! You go girl!:Pinkbounc

You go girl is right! Man, like something out of the movies. You blood spittin', nut crushin' superhero!!
