Well, today we were able to buy our tickets for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. I think I said before that the only night during our vacation that we can go is December 18th (Dec 16th is technically during our vacation, but we won't be arriving in the Orlando area until that evening, and we are staying at the HRH that night). Unfortunately, there is no discount for advance purchase. Because they say these parties sell out, I wanted to make sure we got our tickets, so I called today and ordered them.

Located between the MGM Grand and Bally's Resorts, the dual-beam monorail system opened in Las Vegas in 1995. The original track was just 0.7 miles long, had two stations (one at each end), and used two refurbished Mark IV trains. The old Mark IV cars have since been replaced.

(Note: as often as we go to Vegas, I sure didn't know that monorail opened in 1995. It seems that it just opened in the last 5 years or so. Maybe that was just the extension all the way to the convention center. )

I skipped a couple of days of trivia because we were in Vegas for a long weekend. Had a great time at the Hard Rock Hotel and Sam Boyd Stadium for the Supercross world championship. We've already made our plans to go next year.

On the flight out there, we had wi-fi so I did a little bit of planning. I created a spreadsheet for best and worst parks, planned meals, and other events (DTD, resort tour). I'll add the park hours later.

We're all getting pretty excited about the trip, talking about it every time we're together. The countdown seems to be moving amazingly fast!

Haley hung out at our house today for a little while. We worked on her signature and I helped her create a ticker. I showed her a little more about how to navigate the DISBoards, so she might be more active going forward. Hopefully you can all already see that she is incredibly talented.

Haley also designed some of the customizable maps from the Disney site tonight. They'll be shipped straight to her house. She's super excited about the trip. She is watching for shows about Disney World on the Travel Channel.
