A magic moment at MK.

We had to go to Guest Services at MK to have our Park Hopper passes re-issued due to them being lost/stolen a year ago on another vacation. It took the CM a while to find us in the computer because the tickets were issued in 2004.

So we are waiting and waiting and the CM isn't saying anything. Finally it looks as if he printed the new tickets. Then he is still saying nothing and writing on these pieces of paper. After a few more minutes we are getting worried that something is wrong and he can't give us replacements (700 bucks down the drain). Well finally he says, here are your tickets. How many people are in your party. We tell him there is just 4 of us and the rest of our "party" already have their tickets. He again says "How many all together with you" So we tell him 7. He then says "You will be coming back to MK on Monday correct?" My wife says we had planned another day, but not Monday. He again says "You can come back again Monday" a little more strongly. I tell my wife to just say "yes". So now he hands us 4 Fast Passes for the entire party of 7 and tells us that we have VIP seating for the parade on Monday. It was booked for that day so since we can come on Monday we just need to go to the bridge (he shows us a map) and give them our name.

Well that was just the best thing that ever happened. We typically have bad luck with everything (we fully expected that they wouldn't find our ticket info). We got to sit on a bridge with only a few others during the daytime parade (I forget what it was called) and all the characters came over to my kids. That was just great. If that CM reads these boards THANK YOU!!!!

Lesson Learned: When they say "you can come back on Monday--say YES!!!"

That sort of thing happened to us too, except at Epcot for Illuminations. We had forgotten our oldest daughters voucher for her season pass, we all had ours already... and we had all our info for ours but hers was done seperately (long story). It turned out the only way we could research her voucher, after being at customer service for 40 minutes, was to call the credit card department at disney but it was like 6:30 and they were already closed. We were going to Animal Kingdom in the morning and our best bet was to just give up for the night and get her ticket in the morning. That's when the magic came in. The cm gave my daughter a comp ticket for the night AND she put us on the list for special seating (around Italy) for Illuminations that night. I think that was so sweet of her considering it was us who forgot to bring the voucher!
