A lot of holes on January 8th

We are booking our next next trip for January 4-10 and there are a lot of holes on Thursday Jan 8th...just wondering why. When we started booking our trip our CM looked ahead for us and told us what the week looked like.
My hubby thinks there must be a member cruise or something. Any ideas?

Member cruises are in the fall once each year, typically between September and October - and they are announced a year in advance. If January 2009 were to be a member cruise, we'd have heard about it a long time ago.

Where are you trying to book? I was looking for Value Studio at AKV for 1/4 - 9 and couldn't get the 8th either. Same for standard view, but plenty of availability for savanna view. That's what I really wanted anyway, so I just sucked it up and went deeper in to point deficit.

I suspect it's tighter at low-point resorts for folks coming in for the marathon for a couple of nights, and for resorts closer to the parks for the same reasons.

we were trying for AKV value studio but the 8th is waitlisted. We really enjoy Animal Kingdom (especially my husband). Since there are so few value studios, I won't hold my breath. We could do Savannah view and suck up the extra 4 points a night or switch resorts. I believe VWL has availability for the whole week as well as Boardwalk Preferred view. Decisions, Decisions....what a rough life we lead.

Yeah, you're in the same boat I am. I decided to suck it up so at least we're not competing for the value studio wait list on the 8th!!

If it were me, I'd switch weeks. The next will be more quiet than the week that involves the 8th.

Is that your DH BOB? I like his green hair. I think he wants to stay at universal. I don't think that is such a bad idea either but, of course, it is not WDW.

Thanks Brenda for the vote for going to the "Dark Side" at US, but I'm not holding my breath.
The last time I asked she flatly stated, "That doesn't interest me at all..."
How do respond to THAT?
I have green hair for every Eagles game...even if I am at WDW.

I will look into switching weeks on the 11th.

Yikes! I forgot to call yesterday at the 7 month. Sending DH to run the 5K for his birthday next year as a surprise with his sister. I would like OKW studio with the 2 beds so no one has to sleep on a sofa bed. Looks like I will be on the waitlist anyway. Will be dialing MS at 8:59 AM today!
