A local principal was arrested for using Meth!

This is horrible! What kind of example is he setting???

Yeah, wow. I went to that school many many years ago.

Tell me, do you think he'll get extra time in the slammer for being in a Drug-free school zone? I mean, you can't get any more "in-the-zone" than in the principal's office!

Incredible......

Another local person here!!!!!! I cant believe the attention we have been getting lately. Snowstorm traffic jam and now this...it really is a nice place to live!! hopefully we are done being on national news for a while!

We had a Principal arrested last week for buying Crack in his Office during school. And he stated when he bought it "I want to hit it right now". :sad2:

I was shocked to read that story on http://wfmz.com this morning. I hope he loses his job and his principal's certificate if he's convicted. Between this and all the horrible junk going on in the Allentown School District it really makes the area look bad :sad2: . Does anyone know if he has kids of his own?

Similar thing just happened in this State.
Principal bought drugs from an undercover cop, right in his Principal's Office.

But, OHHHH, we are supposed to 'respect' our educators. They know better than we do how to manage our own kids.

I read that in the paper this morning. I hope they make a good example of him. Otherwise, what will the kids learn? :sad2:

That comment is not needed. Just because there are some bad eggs in the basket doesn't mean that all they eggs need to be discarded. Comments like that p#$$$ me off.

WOW:eek: that is sad. I guess I don't understand b/c I've never used a drug, or smoked a cigarette ever.... I guess it's just too addicting to stop... I sure hope they get the help they need.

It is very sad. He said he only tried it for the first time in December and he was up to a $300 dollar a day habit when he was arrested last week during school hours. :sad2:

It was in Tampa, Florida.

We had one in East Hartford who was suspended from his job for hitting on a 15 year old student. He was the new principal at the high school. Apparently he was investigated for the same thing at the New Haven, Ct. school where he was previously but it didn't get discovered until this complaint here. Apparently there was no criminal wrong doing but I doubt he will be going back to school.

My son attends this school. The whole situation has been very sad, and very disheartening. I have to say, that Nitschmann is a GREAT school. It really is. My 6th grader has come a long way and has really blossomed. He has a great team of teachers and they really care about the kids. The new "acting" principal is wonderful and my son loves her! It is unfortunate that the negligence and stupidity and BAD choices made by this principal have put a huge black mark on an otherwise very good school.

Mr Acerra is a sick man and needs help (obviously!). As parents, we need to use this as a teaching moment. Drugs ruin lives. Not just one life, but many. He had many friends, and his family, and they are now dealing with something like this too.

For all the people who think that this wouldn't happen in other schools, or private schools...think again. This is not a location issue. This is a society issue. Bad stuff happens everywhere. It's how we handle it and then overcome it that matters.

I completely agree. It doesn't matter what kind of school you go to, there's always the chance that one odd ball maybe stuck in there. I hope things go well for the kids at the school and that they continue to heal from such an upsetting event!
