FWIW, you could book her haircut at Grand Floridian, if you wanted to? Not quite as convenient or memorable as Main Street barbershop, but still in the World, and I am told they do a fairly magical first cut.
Haven't been on a Disney Vacation in 6 years, and we arrive 12/1 the day haunted mansion goes down for refurb I wish I had known a few weeks ago when we activated our season passes just to ride Maelstrom before it closed...
So true. I ended up with a broken neck back in 2006 just a couple of months before our trip to Disney World. I laid in the hospital all bummed out about what I couldn't do and that lasted about a half day. Then I started to write down what I could do and once I had the entire sheet of paper written on, I realized I was extremely lucky.
You have a wonderful sense of perspective that more people need to have. Being in Disney and not getting to ride a certain ride or eat at a certain restaurant sure beats not being at Disney.

I second this! It's not the same as getting it done in MK, but my niece had her hair cut at the GF once (after an unfortunate cut she gave herself!), and they even did the glitter treatment. We ate at 1900 Park Fair afterwards and she was a huge hit with the step sisters!
