Hello, I am currently planning a last minute trip to disneyland getting the eurostar our on the 18th december and back on the 22nd :santa: I just wondered if anyone knows whether there is anymore industrial action planned by the french train drivers? I have trawled the internet and found old news reports...most of which said there were talks going on, and the rest was up in the air.

I am just debating whether to get the direct train out to save the worry(assuming the direct trains were not affected as I was told) but that method is about 120pounds more expensive which is quite a lot really.

I know no-one can predict the future but any help would be most appreciated, thank you.:)

I don't think anymore are planned but the French call strikes at the last minute so you never know.

I know its not the answer you want to hear but thats how its always been.

currently the next disturbance may be the 12th; there are assurances that the trains will run during the holiday season but that doesn't mean much.

I believe that originally the 18th was set as a deadline and if things do not resolve by then new action may occur.

I won't be online much over the next few weeks, but if you do read a little French it is best to check www.sncf.fr for the long distance trains and www.ratp.fr for the metro and RER trains. They will have regular updates. Hopefully someone here can translate if anyone needs it. If there is a disruption I will try and post an update if I can but no assurances

Best of luck
