A literal pain the butt

Not to scare you or anything, but showing at 7 weeks--um, you might want to prepare yourself for having more than ONE. I was in maternity clothing with our twins at 10 weeks pregnant--one of the tip offs I need an ultrasound. :lmao:

I was too big for my normal clothes at 7 weeks and I had lost weight from not feeling well. So this isn't really a true statement. I am very short and my OB told me that there was no where for the baby to go but out, and being as small as I was at the time, it wasn't out of the ordinary. BTW, it happened with all 3 of my kids. Also all 3 of my kids were born weighing under 8 pounds. It was just my frame that caused pouchy look, very early.

How is it not true??? I have twins, this was my experience :confused3

Sorry, what I meant was that it isn't always the case. Just because you are showing at 7 weeks, doesn't mean twins. I think she has enough on her mind without throwing that out there.

If it is very very painful, see a dr right away incase it is a tubal preg too.

ANY/ALL pain you should call and bug your dr. The risk vrs reward just isn't worth it. I felt unbelievable stretching in the front at 7 weeks, but not in the back.

PLease go see or at least call your dr.

Thank you for our advice & concern. :goodvibes

I've got my first ultrasound this afternoon so that'll clear up whether it's a tubal pregnancy or not (well, at least I'd assume if they don't see an embryo or a sac, they'd go searching for it since I have clear pregnancy symptoms & positive pregnancy tests...).

I'm going to leave a note for the doctor or nurse practitioner while I'm in there about what I'm experiencing and ask if they want me to come in before next Wednesday or if I'm ok to wait until my normal appointment next week (after getting it confirmed that everything's a-ok with the pregnancy).

I talked to some friends on a message board that I belong to -- we all had kids December '08 -- and a lot of them have already had #2. Quite a few said that they had the same type of pain with their second children & it started in the first trimester with every one of them. So I guess it's not super rare. :confused3

You sound like you have the exact same body type as I do, super short waist, no core strength. I've had the same types of pain, my Dr. said to not put heat on it, just use ice, and try sitting on an exercise ball if you can, that'll help strengthen the core.

Lol, I think I have PTSD when it comes to exercise balls. DH & I bounced on an exercise ball night & day while DD screamed her head off for 6 months straight. I never want to see an exercise ball again!! In fact, I gave it to my parents. :lmao:

Once I tell them about the pregnancy (Thanksgiving), I'll take the infernal ball back from them.
