a lil venting from the least patient DVC'r

Alright, alright, I know I am the least patient person in the world. However, Im getting quite perteeeerrrrrbed.

Here I am stalking the mailman everyday, anxiously awaiting the new member book and my SSR litho and consoling myself about having to wait til I see my guide (to get my SSR pin) when we finally make our way down to WDW after SSR opens. Meanwhile people are auctioning off the new book and pins on ebay! If I see a litho on there, you guys will have to hide anything sharp from me.

I think that you and I lost our contracts to ROFR about the same time. We both went with Disney, we to BWV and you to SSR. Yes, we've gotten the new member book and our pictures are framed and hanging, BUT you are going to have many more years of DVC. Just trying to help you out with some pixie dust.

Hmmmmmm.......

Now you've got me thinking. I just bought at SSR myself this past week. I have received the new member book with which I've read some people are a bit disappointed. But I have nothing to compare it to so it seems nice to me.

I received an artist's rendering of the SSR.... Is that what you mean by lithograph? And I too have taken it to the art store to be matted and framed.

I did not receive a pin. But should I have? Do I need to call my guide to find out where mine is?

And just remember what bobbiwoz said. You have just given yourself a wonderful gift of quality family time and beautiful memories for years and years to come. I am sure you will receive all of these little treats soon, but in the meantime, savor the fact that you are now a DVC owner. There are so many people who wish they were in the club but can't for some reason. And whenever you want to brag or vent...... we will be here to listen to you, support you and understand you. Because we all would be going nuts if we were waiting for our package just as you are going nuts now. I hope this waiting game ends for you soon.

Have you checked with your neighbors??? I was wondering where my member guidebook was also. Everyone on the boards seemed to have had theirs and nothing here. Well lo and behold last night my neighbor stopped over and the mail person had delivered it to him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, I went out to the mailbox today, and boy didnt I feel silly when I saw a package from DVC!

Well that feeling lasted just long enough for me to tear into the package only to find the referal stuff! ( Which, btw, I get nada for because of where I live.) Gee Im sending them people right and left without all this....

We just received our Member Book in today's mail.

I am a new member and I have not received my new book either. I also saw the new book on e-bay today and got a little upset.

I'm with you waiting next to the mail box everyday. We signed up on Sept 27th and I going crazy waiting for my litho. I have already been looking at differnt frame types at my local framing shop.

I hope I have it before My 1st trip home in Dec 2004
