That video of DH dancing..OMG.....

I used a permanent paint pen I got from Joann's craft store and painted it on. I printed a pic on cardstock and then just traced. Then I Tie Dyed - keeping the Tink and Stitch wrapped so the dye wouldn't mess it up.

I would love to experience a rope drop, but ds is not a morning person, so it would make him miserable the whole day

My DH is the same way....feels a little funny about meeting other Disers

I have a lot of meets hopefully planned for next Sept, so he is going to have to get over it

Here's the thing with the rope drop - we didn't see anything special. Other people have posted that there is some kind of show?

When are you going next Sept? I am planning on booking a trip Aug 30- Sept 3.

This is Miz Diz's DH. In my defense, I asked the family in line in front of us at the bus stop if they planned on getting on the bus and they said "no hablo english" so I said "I don't roll like that". I had to take action right then and there, see we'd been on the go at the parks for about 17 hrs (minus a trip to the hotel bar in the middle of the day ). Once I made it on the bus I looked back and it was only me and Mandy. A few seconds later Jason got on the bus and said "Miz Diz" doesn't handle pressure very well. Jason got off and got back on the bus again - this time holding two hats. Shortly behind him was Miz Diz. With the whole group together we were truely "ready to roll". And I also needed to get back to the room so I could dance to the "Angry Troy" song.

I've only posted twice in my life but I'm guessing that's going to change - I'm going to have to defend myself alot during this trip report.

Next up - The Incredibles & Mr Diz tries to make new friends.

This, too cracks me up! The thing is - it didn't really make sense to say it and they didn't understand anyway!

You won’t see me in many pics because I am usually the one taking them.

Sadly, I know all too well how this goes.

Next thing I know, Mr Diz grabs Baby Girl and runs past the family and gets on the bus. Everyone follows, leaving me with the stroller. The stroller is loaded down with 5 bags and 2 Mickey ear hats. How could they just leave me there?

Been there, MANY times! My mother always takes my DS and hops on the bus without so much as abackward glance to see if I'm okay with teh stroller, 3 bags, 2 hats, 6 water bottles, 1 half-eaten Mickey crispie treat and leaking mister fan.

I feel your pain-----unless I am on the DIS (where of course I NEVER mind being corrected about Disney )--I usually feel a sense of superiority among the lesser folk who desire to go to the World.

(do you like being a travel advisor to the lesser folk too? DH asked me to help a coworker take his grandchild on a first Disney trip---and of course, I start spouting about seasons and codes and dining plans and passporters! I will enjoy getting them a good deal tho!)


And--I usually cry at Wishes too and sometimes even at parades!

I had a plan, I promise I did. It was to be at MK for rope drop. We were there for the Little Ones Travel Time hours only. About 9:30 we were supposed to go to the bakery for breakfast, then head over to MGM because this was the last day for Imagination Movers. Then we would go take a nap and come back to MK for EMH.

As many times as we have been to MK, we’ve only made it to rope drop once before and that was this past spring. It was a madhouse. I was scared for our lives. We were at the front of the rope and as soon as that rope dropped, we were trampled! And we have never seen a “show” or anything like that. I don’t know how we’re missing Mickey Mouse.

We got there about 7:30 and were right at the rope on the right hand side when it happened – our first argument. Yes we argue and then we always laugh about it.

Who’s right? Me or Mr Diz?

Mr Diz: You know we never did get Mandy ponchos like we said we would.
Me: I know. We didn’t get to Wal Mart.
Mr Diz: I’m not an idiot. I know we didn’t go to Wal Mart. Why do you act like I’m an idiot?
Me: (because you are – just kidding) I’m not an idiot either. I know we didn’t get her the ponchos. So you saying that was the same as my Wal Mart comment.
Mr Diz: But I was just making a comment, not trying to say you are an idiot.
Me: Same here. And I have never called you an idiot. You manage to call yourself that just fine.


After that fine conversation, Mr Diz notices this sign and we agree it is cool. Yes – we did actually agree, without argument.

To the right of me is a lady with the “Best Kept Secrets” document in her hand. I say to her, “You must be a Disser, I have that same list I got off the disboards.” She looks at me and says, “Yes.” Then turns away. I guess she wasn’t into the whole meeting other Dissers thing.

I was going to wait to comment until I completely caught up, but I have to tell you - I was LMAO when you wrote that your DH has to have the light switches all the same way in the house. I do the same thing. I'm glad I'm not alone!!! LOL!

I also loved your Disney Fuzzy Math with the Free Dining at ASMu instead of using those DVC points! That just frees up more points for NEXT time!!!

Mr Diz read the TR for the first time last night and started giving me a hard time about posting the video. But then after posting his comment, he said, "Maybe I should have reposted the video of me dancing there at the end."
Then he immediately wanted to know if someone had posted. Well, thank goodness Scottny posted. Then he wanted to know where all his "fans" were.

Hey Michelle! He totally drives me crazy with the light switches. I'll be in the kitchen, doing whatever and all of a sudden I'm in the dark because he has to "Fix" the switches.

I think V is rubbing off on me with the Fuzzy Disney math!

I heard there is o nly a good opening show at MK??? Not sure....

We are currently booked for Oct 14-21st, 2008, but are thinking of chaning that to Sept 16-23rd if the free dining is offered to the rest of us

I do have a pre-trippie going......Grab a Flashlight....Trip Planned in the Dark...What Hubbies don't know, won't hurt them
