A lady was mean to my 4 year old today..

Oh you devious little schemer you:rotfl:

Of course we do! That's what I got yesterday, uh huh it is:rolleyes1 (okay so maybe DD and I had DS bring home fried pies from the McDs in the train station. Attery clogging goodness at its best. She is sick and I have been playing nurse so we splurged. I just about fell over when I saw somwone eating a pie here a couple of weeks ago and realized they still fry them in Germany. I was dreaming about it since i saw it 'til I got to eat it yesterday.:cloud9:) Frank I am sure you re horrified!

I was so upset when they switched to those baked pies at the US McDonalds. Then I discovered that Krystal and Whattaburger both have the old fried apple pies. Now I can have my fried pies without having to put up with the Codgers or the Pokers! (Of course I'm good and only have them once in a blue moon, but at least I know they are there when I want them.)

I know this post is off topic, but I want to see the thread hit 700 posts. :) And as all over the place as the last couple hundred posts have been, I'm not sure there really is anything that is on topic for this thread anymore - unless it's Glitterkittyy, of course.

:lmao:I am GLAD you kept going after that statement. I read that and thought WHAT!!!! Since when are we on topic:rolleyes1

As long as it's diet pop, you're good. :lmao:

Not Likely!!! ;) Hey, I'm excited I found Mexican Coke at Costco with the REAL sugar!!!! I'm more of a Pepsi gal but I will drink those Cokes more than the other stuff.

Then I discovered that Krystal and Whattaburger both have the old fried apple pies

You had me all excited there for a minute, since I used to LOVE McDonald's apple pies until they started baking them. However, alas, we don't have Krystal or Whattaburger here (although we do have White Castle & I think they may be the same as Krystal? I avoid White Castle though, yuck!). *sigh*

And is this thread even remotely close to being on topic anymore? I TRIED to be somewhat on topic by bringing in the food aspects but I'm thinking it's a lost cause at this point. :lmao:

It wouldn't be my choice but I'll hold back my horror. Now, was mayo involved, that may teeter me over into the state of horror :rotfl:

ooh ooh come visit me. NO HFCS--just real sugar in the soda AND fried pies (and good wine. . .)

Thanks for containing the horror. No mayo I promise. I have always hated mayo (blech). No real food from McDs was eaten (do they have REAL food?) just pies--I figure that is more than enough for a week:rotfl2: and you will notice I made DS10 stop by for the pies--no adult supervision! I am sure that annoyed at least one codger and one snowflake mom and made at least lil poker jealous:rotfl:

What town is behind you in your signature photo? If you don't mind my asking (you being a proponent of striking up random conversations with strangersand all:rolleyes:)

Do crispy ranch snack wraps count as salad? Because they have lettuce in them.

I think everything with lettuce should count as a salad. Which means last night I had a tasty salad disguised as a cheeseburger. It was practically health food!

Siena, Italy. It is from the top of the Torre del Mangia overlooking the Piazza del Campo. It is by far my favorite city out of all the (admittedly limited) cities I have been to.

I might actually be visiting your area of the world soon. One of my friends bid on a contract to be a civilian nurse at Landstuhl. I love Europe and wish I could get over there more often. A free place to stay for a week or so is just too hard to pass up.

Are you over there for the military or the beer? :rotfl: Perhaps there is another reason, I just can't think of it.

Oh, we will be in Sienna in 2011 (vacation not living). Pretty!

If you make it over here please let us know. Maybe we can meet for a drink or something (no, I am not a cougar hitting on you--you have plenty of those:rolleyes1; I am happily married). We are here for work. DH works for a German comapny and they moved us here to headquarters in February (and then promptly had him start travelling elsewhere:lmao:--I think he has worked in Germany for all of four weeks, which explains all the lonely hours i spend on the DIS lately:rolleyes1) I am not overly fond of beer (don't like it at all) but I have learned to like wine sicne we arrives (a good spatlese is very nice).

Oh admit it, that's a green screen you're standing in front of, isn't it?
:rotfl2:

My brother was stationed in Germany for the beer. He readily admitted it. He loved to get drunk then yell at the locals to "learn to speak English". LOL That's my bro...

And if they have lettuce then you can consider them healthy, at least thats what I tell myself ;)

Well, I'm back and I am sorry to report that it was an uneventful trip to Mickey D's. I was expecting busloads of angry codgers and tables full of pointing, tapping, talkative snowflakes but alas it was just me, the kids and a few others. We did go before the lunchtime rush though, so I'm sure there was pure anarchy after 12 noon.

Glad to see you all plugging along, looks like I missed some good stuff.

Well I did smell something in the minivan on the way to the mall but I just figured they were all back there farting. I guess I should check the back of their pants just in case, I wouldn't want the same situation as poor Kenny

By the way, Firedancer, welcome back to the Bandwagon.
