I was just going to check in with you all and realised I could do a live tr, so after checking the rule, here goes. It's kinda because I'm just going to post as & when, I always enjoy reading others so will try returning the favour. Oh, also taking notes to try do a proper one when I return. Today we are at Premium Outlets I drive. On arrival we went for a discount booklet only to be told we had to register on line, we decided not to bother until I discovered how much Norman & Stephen were spending in Ralph lauren. Sat in Starbucks, put in my details and can get 25% off as VIP member. Have to leave it here and go back to rl. Till later.b

Hope you're having a lovely time Sharon, looking forward to reading more of your adventures :)

Well worth joining the outlets club .... We got $20 off a $100 spend in the Levi store so walked away with 3 pairs of Levi's and a belt for under $80 when they're £80 a pair in the UK!!!!! Oh and we bought them on tax free weekend so an absolute bargain really

Thanks for the good wishes. So when I went back to customer service for a voucher for the 25% off $200, he surprised us by giving us a 30% off all RL clothes valid until end of Aug. Norman & Stephen just about flew there and are busy planning their next trip. For me a Disney top!! I don't enjoy shopping.

Really is an adventure as staying at Rosen Inn ay Pointe Orlando instead of our usual Disney. Really enjoying the change and it's almost as good!!!!! Going to Hard Rock Hotel for one might on Sunday & then to AKL for 5 nights next Wednesday.

Our stay last month at the Hilton Garden Inn LBV was as good if not better than any stay we have had in Disney. Perfect location, relaxed, good standard hotel, really friendly staff.
We have had great holidays onsite but I don't find them as relaxing as offsite, especially when combined with "free" dining, booking everything in advance, its too stressful.

I always enjoy live trip reports and appreciate the effort that posters put into them.

Looking forward to any of your updates. Have a great time :)

I have to agree that staying off site is so much more relaxing, especially now you have to plan the FP's. Pros & cons for both overall for various reasons we all prefer Disney. We have flights booked for next year and think we will do mainly Disney but some time on I drive.

Thanks Reid. I'm afraid i'm not keeping up as much as i intended, mixture of tiredness & poor connection.

Location offsite can be a big factor also, we don't like where you are staying, we even dislike visiting Idrive for a meal. LBV is the perfect place for us, just a few mins into Disney, 5 mins to SW, 15 mins to Universal area. Like you say for and against both, I unfortunately have got a downer on Disney just now, I will get over it:rotfl2:

We quite fancy LBV but as we don't drive felt I drive to be easier for getting around. stayed at hard rock hotel last night, it was lovely, room seemed larger than at RPR.

It just goes to show how everyone is different; we have stayed on I-Drive several times in the past and loved it. We loved the convenience of being able to walk to places for dinner, not having to worry about driving and having lots to do in a small area. If we didn't have our DVC, we would definitely choose to stay on I-Drive again.

I know some don't like it, though, and we have never stayed at LBV so can't compare.

Please keep us updated on your adventures :)

Many people enjoy staying on IDrive, it just wasn't/isn't for us. Tried it twice (Universal end & near SW) hate driving anywhere between the 2.
I agree though, if you don't want to drive there is probably more places closer together. I always drive so that's not an issue.

We enjoyed our stay at Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando on the whole. Loved the more relaxed feel of just jumping on the bus to go to Seaworld, both Premium Outlets, US/IOA, Florida Mall &The Pirates Adventure show and out for dinner. We went to Millers Ale House quite a lot, Joh, you would be proud of me as I have developed a liking for cocktails.

We are now at AKL, Oh My, it's wonderful, we have been lucky enough to have a sort of Savannah view, we onlŷ booked standard but we overlook where the people pens are, a roof wall spoils our view but we can see the animals if we stand on a chair.

Staying at rosen inn pointe orlando at end of sept for 9 nights!!! Glad to hear you had a nice stay there!!

We found the staff so friendly and helpful. We had top floor room in building B looking over the pool which was a great location. Bus stop is right outside. Breakfast really good value. Only slight negative for us was the bar was a bit holiday campish ie lots of children running around and hogging the pool table all night. Happy hour 4-6 & 9-10. Room cleaned every day with fresh towels and shampoo/conditioner, coffee. Let me know if you need any more info

Hope you have a wonderful final day. I can't believe that we fly home too on Monday :sad2:
