A June 2011 PTR! (5/31 Top 5 things to do while waiting for Disney!!!)

Aww thanks :goodvibes. I just now realized that we just completely forgot about pictures the last two days of our trip

Its frustrating trying to book the party only because noone knows anything  but i am determined to go so I can get those photos for you ;)

Awww! Thanks!! :goodvibes

We moved our plans for later in the year and once we book the flight/hotel I am going to go into hyper planning mode, and will definitely use yours and another woman's PTR as guides!! Love all this organization! :thumbsup2

Your binder is amazing! Where on the disney website can you book the wishes party? I was thinking about doing that too but when I looked at the site I couldn't find it.

That's Great! When are you going? The planning is always so much fun.

Welcome to my PTR! On the disney website I always type wishes dessert party in the search box and Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party should come up. When you click on that there is a place to click and make reservations on the right side. Hope this helped :)

Thanks. I found it yesterday. I don't think it was there when I booked our ADR's originally. :) Who knows we might see you there on the 8th.

We had originally planned for end of August/September, but now November is our target. Closer to Thanksgiving so the holiday decorations will be up. :lovestruc I love the holidays so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When we went on our last trip to WDW, 2003, it was Christmas, and I absolutely fell in love! Then after watching the holiday shows this season we were like we have to take the girls for the holidays! No doubt in our minds! :cloud9:

You also have to tell me about those grey goose slushies, I am DYING to have one..or three while there! Do they still sell the frozen margaritas outside Mexico? Those were dElicious! -let's cheer that you are 21! :cheer2:

That would be great! I wish they would open it up for booking. Its driving me insane that noone has any idea when it will be available to make reservations :headache:

You are so lucky. I would LOVE to go during the holidays. I think I'm going to have to start planning another trip:laughing: I'm pretty sure they still have the margarita stand and I will definitely be reviewing those slushies for you and more. I will have my camera and trip notebook in tow. :thumbsup2

Good, pen and paper and photos. Perfect! :rotfl:

Once had a friend who would twitter me whenever she got a drink in Epcot. She gave me her opinion and then a 1-5 scale review of each one. I should have taken notes now that I think about it! LOL

June is going to be here before you know it! Look forward to hearing more about you guys and this trip!! :goodvibes

I'm still reading! I hope they'll open up the Wishes Dessert Party reservations soon so you can go ahead and book. I'm sure you guys would have a wonderful time with it.

I'm jealous of how good your Festival of the Lion King pics turned out! They looked really nice and clear.

Thanks you! I hope June hurries up  but then again I won't want my trip to be over! :sad2:

I hope so too. It's driving me crazy  As for the Lion King pics, I think I tried 50 different settings on my camera to get those pictures. Most of them were horrible though so those were the best I could do.

So the last two days of this trip are VERY fuzzy to me . I know that we went back to Magic Kingdom the next day, but judging by my pictures we went to Downtown Disney in the Morning and Magic Kingdom in the evening for rides and to watch the parade and wishes. Why I have no pictures is a mystery to me :confused3
While we were in downtown disney we looked in some more shops and purchased some gifts for our nieces and nephews. Clearly we made a stop by the Harley Davidson Store.

Our last day we decided to go back to Hollywood Studios since we had missed a lot due to the American Idol show. This day I know we were able to ride the Great Movie Ride, see the Indiana Jones Stunt show, and of course Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster again. We also saw the Block Party Bash, which is the only thing that I have pictures of from that day :rotfl:.

The next morning we had to be up ridiculously early as our flight left at around 7am and the Magical Express was coming to get us at 4am :scared1:
We were so sad to go but we had a Great time.

The lessons I learned from this trip

1)SLOW DOWN. Because this was DBF’s first trip to Disney I wanted him to be able to see absolutely everything. Especially because I didn’t know when we would be able to come back if at all. But it’s ok if you don’t see everything and get to do everything. We had the most fun when we were just looking around and taking in all of the details. So this trip coming up is going to be much more relaxed. ALTHOUGH, I would like to get in a rope drop. I’ve still never seen the Magic Kingdom Opening :rotfl:

2)Get an earlier flight coming in and a later flight going out. I think I just picked those flights based on price of course but it would have been nice to have that extra vacation time that comes with getting there earlier in the day and leaving later in the afternoon which fortunately, I was able to do for this upcoming trip. :)

3) Take more pictures!

You are so sweet for doing this whole trip for your DBF, love it and he seems like he had a great time as well. Good job!

Lesson #2 is a good one to remember and use for myself. I am not a morning person, nor an afternoon person for that matter. My children on the other hand are VERY early risers. If we had a rooster they'd be up before it!
:lmao:

im joining in. my I first say that you and your DBF are such cute couple and second, i love that binder and i hope you wil not mind but im going to borrow a few of your ideas!!

I've never seen that parade. I wish it was still there.

You didn't miss too much. I thought this parade was just ok. The only thing that stood out to me is how interactive the characters were with the audience. They were free to move around and pull little kids into the parade to dance. That was the best part.

:rotfl: I am an early riser myself no matter how hard I try to be otherwise. I have some kind of weird internal alarm clock thing going on. DBF on the other hand could sleep all day. But with the flights, I think its easier to get up earlier to go since you're so excited to be going. It killed me to get up so early just to leave :sad2:

Welcome to my PTR :goodvibes Thanks for joining in and be my guest to use anything you like. I see that you have a PTR too so I'll have to check it out! :)

So I have to admit that I haven't exactly been keeping up my exercise regimen. I'm a slacker. Honestly, I just haven't had time. I have a full load of classes and ALL of the homework that comes with that, I work on campus in the Presidents office. I volunteer as a tutor at a family services center once a week. I coach the debate team at a local Catholic middle school. And now, is if that wasn't enough, I am doing community service 2 hours every Saturday for my Spanish minor. I'm helping Spanish speakers with their English. THis laundry list of excuses is what I tell myself every time I feel bad for not exercising.

As far as weight goes, I really only want to lose 5 pounds, but I mainly want to tone up more. Although, I have been eating better to make up for my lack of exercise and I've actually lost weight. But I've decided to get rid of my excuses and go to the gym, however my problem is motivation. So, I've given myself a goal to work towards. I've been hearing about this program called Couch to 5k or C25K that helps you get into running and training for a 5k. I want to try it. We have the Kentucky Derby here in Louisville and with it comes various events. Among those events is the Louisville Triple Crown of Running. A 5K, a 10k, and a 10 miler in March. My goal is to complete all three this year. I've actually done the 5k and the 10 miler but not in the same year and I DEFINITELY was not running that 10 miler :rotfl2:.

I've decided that I will start next week. The basic program is 9 weeks and based around exercising three days a week which I can fit into my Monday,Wednesday, and Friday mornings. So i'm excited to start. But in the process of all of this I will of course be getting in shape for my Disney trip, which as we all know, is the ultimate goal ;)

Subbing!!
We are going in June too! We will be there the 7th-15th. I LOVE your binder and the printed book that you made. Great ideas!
I need to go to Target and find one of those water bottles. I am a teacher and need water to sip on all day and that would save me so much money on bottled waters (not to mention the planet!!!).
I am thinking of adding the Wishes Dessert Party for one of our MK nights, but I am still on the fence since we are having Crystal Palace one night for dinner and The Wave on the other.

Hoorah for getting in shape! :cool1:

I tried to get healthy before my trip, but I had a two month hiatus right in the middle of fall due to classes. So I completely understand how hard fitting a workout in is with a crazy school schedule. You have to prioritize and homework will normally always fall above working out.
As long as you have the determination, though, you can squeeze it in three days a week. Just imagine Disney and outfits you want to be able to wear while you're there. That was my motivation. :lmao:

I'll cheer you on! :thumbsup2

:welcome: Thanks for Reading! I do love my bobble. I did a taste test with the tap water and then the water in the bobble and you could definitely tell the difference. I'm a huge water drinker so I'm definitely looking forward to the saved money :)
I'm all for trying anything with desserts  Maybe, you could have an earlier dinner one of those nights to save room for the desserts later that night.

THank you! :goodvibes I actually went to the gym yesterday. The outfits are definitely a huge motivation. DBF is going with me on the weekends as well. His motiviation is the food/desserts at Disney. He figures if he loses weight now then he won't feel as bad about eating all those desserts :rotfl: and I must say that I completely agree

Good luck with losing weight and toning! You can do this. :cheer2:
I'm at the end of my losing weight goal, down 50lbs. My goal is 60lbs, but these last 10 have been tough with this snowy gloomy weather, this time of year is hard for motivating me. But I'm going to keep at it and lose it and not gain any back! :) (what I am saying is that if I [miss lazypants] can lose 50lbs you can do 5lb!!! LOL)

GO ASHLEY!! :woohoo:
