A Jolly Holiday with Masseys: THE TRIP REPORT - WDW Dec2019

ADR at Story Book Dining @ Artist Point @ 6:05 pm. This was something brand new for us and something we were very much looking forward to doing.

The longer we are away the more I want to do this dinner again! Hopefully it will come back sooner than later!

I made my way down Main Street amazed that the castle was still lit up. It was so pretty.

Worth it just for that view!

I headed to Gaston's to get a cinnamon roll. It was huge and yes I did eat the whole thing by myself.

I walked all the way to front so I could ride one of the Main Street vehicles back to the Castle.

Also, a good one!!!! We did the double decker bus the one trip and I loved it!

I have heard of folks getting shafted for not wearing them in the OUTDOOR queues. I just know that every time we all say "it's gotta get better".... it just doesn't.

Things are looking pretty bad right now.

What a FANTASTIC idea! I really love this and I'll bet the kids love both networking and having fun AND getting something they need!

I like anything that helps her pocket book.

I HAVE NEWS!!

Does everyone remember that time Anna saved Elsa with an act of TRUE LOVE?!


Well, the chances of me seeing my baby sister during her college program are looking slim. By the time it's cool enough for my big ole pregnant booty to go, i'll be so pregnant that I can't travel, anyway. Not to mention, just a very expensive year. New baby coming, etc.

As much as I miss her, and I wish I could see her, I was fine with mom and dad going a few times to visit her. Quite frankly, pregnant travel is not on my to do list.

Apparently, I underestimated how much she also misses me!!! I AM SO FREAKING FLATTERED!!!!
I get a text from Danielle, "Okay, hear me out".
She bought me a plane ticket and got me her family park passes to come with Mom at Labor Day to visit.


That is the most selfless thing my sister has ever done. It's Danielle's act of true love!!! I'm really taken back by it.

So looks like I'm going with Mom over Labor Day. I'm flying home a day early to get back to work. I have some orthopedic sandals for all the walking and my doctor approved a wheelchair for me if I want it. HAHA! It'll be a lot of breaks, LOTS of snacks, and SO MUCH WATER!

Awww that is so sweet of your sister! I will be following your pregnant adventure! My DH and I just found out about a month ago, baby number 2 is on the way! 9 weeks along today! We are heading to the World for a week in November. I am already dreading all the walking!

So looks like I'm going with Mom over Labor Day.

Yes I am no longer going to Disney alone. I will be tripping with my 2 daughters and 1 extra. Dennis's cousin's daughter is coming too! She loves Disney too but lives with a family that does not share her love. Can you even imagine that? They were down visiting from Arkansas when the subject came up that I was taking a trip by myself. Her Mom(Dennis' cousin) suggested she go with me since they don't really like going to Disney. She had her flight booked and tickets within 24 hours. Danielle had been working on Michelle at the same time so not too far after that she was booked.

The outfit planning has already started. We are so excited to bring another Disney lover who is a semi-newbie. Leah has been to Disney but not to the extent we do Disney. She is also just starting college and interested in the DCP so this will give her lots of insight. Danielle will get lots of family love in 24 more sleeps!

I am so excited to do Disney with my 2 daughters again. I'm also very proud of Danielle for stepping up for her big sister. She really is growing up.

Friday, December 20th-Magic Kingdom-Our Last Park Day- Enjoying Some Alone Park Touring

I really enjoyed my ride up Main Street to the Castle and would do this again. Once I disembarked I looked around and took some pictures of the decorations up close.





I took a few Photo Pass pictures.


I made my way back down Main Street and took some time to enjoy the Christmas Window displays on Main Street. I had really wanted to do this in DHS but never made the time.




I really enjoyed the Mickey Christmas Carol themed displays. I'm sorry for the glare.





I needed a picture of the tree.


I was very honored to get some of the Citizens of Main Street. They look pretty happy about it too.

I took advantage of having my time alone to get more pictures of the Town Square Area.





I had been wanting to get pictures from the top of the train station looking down Main Street but I wanted to have someone in those pictures and since I was alone that wasn't going to happen. I still wanted to check out the view. I started to make my way towards the stairs when I made eye contact with the CM working the outside vending near the stairs. He gave a little nod and smile and said he liked my Disney Bounding. He then advised me that Snow White would be meeting on the side of the Town Square theater any minute now. I did know this but since we were having dinner with her and didn't really make it a priority. I thanked him for the tidbit and headed upstairs. The view was really lovely and the fact that the park was not too crowded was pretty nice too. If I was good at selfies I would have done one here.



After that I was pretty loss at what to do next beside shop. I wanted to stay in that area since I knew the others were on their way. What the heck might as well go visit with Snow. She only had one little girl in line in front of me so their wasn't much of a wait. I like meeting the characters but still feel a little silly since I'm an adult and I'm alone. She recognized my bounding right away and was very pleased. We had a nice little visit discussing our curly hair. She asked me how I did my hair and then told me how the animals help her curl her hair with their tails.








Not too long after this the rest of the gang arrived. It was a little after 9 am so I didn't do too bad with my alone time. Michelle will have to fill in how their morning went.

Oh my goodness Michelle and Vanessa what brilliant news! Danielle is such a sweetheart to be treating her big sister to a trip and just shows how you've raised your kids right Vanessa! Proud mum moment right there. I'm delighted for you all. It will make the trip all the more special and hey I've done WDW pregnant and not only survived but thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Granted it was an April trip and I was more than 2 decades younger (1997) but honestly I loved it. Had more sit down breaks than normal and more ice-cream than normal (because what else would one do while sitting down in the Florida sun)
You will have so much fun. Can't wait to hear how you get on

Your alone time in MK sounds just perfect to me Vanessa. I love taking time to notice all the smaller details at Disney-my boys not so much You got some great photos.

The way things are going...

I haven't given up hope completely... but it sure is flickering.

I know the news keeps showing how bad Covid is spreading but there are also lot of people finally getting the vaccine. I'm hoping we turn the corner soon.
