Friday, December 20, 2019-Our last Disney Night- Who invited Sleepy to Dinner?

I'm so sorry this is taking so long. I really need to get this done before we leave again. I'm getting real excited to see Danielle again and to see Christmas in Disney again. So much to see and eat.

We left off saying goodbye to the MK for the last time. I might have shed a tear since it's my favorite park. We stopped too so Michelle could do a wardrobe change. She couldn't go to dinner with Snow White dressed as Belle. We lined up to wait for the boat to Wilderness Lodge. I think this was first for all us. We've done the boat to GF and the Poly but never Wilderness Lodge. It was enough of a wait that we all ended up sitting. Michelle gave John Paul her phone and he took lots of photos of the ducks that visited us while we waited.



Before too long we were relaxing and enjoying the ride. WL is soooo pretty and majestic.





We checked in at Artist Point for our special meal with Snow White and the dwarfs but were told they were running behind. I have to admit I was a little glad since this would give me some time to check out the Christmas Decorations and relax in the Lobby. We also had our Southwest flight check in coming up so I was happy it would not be during dinner. Chip and Dale were also meeting near the tree but the line was long so we skipped that. I made a bee-line to the Gingerbread Cabin. This was the first year for this and I'm so happy we got to see it. I loved that Chip and Dale were included.





The Lobby was beautiful. So much to see.

John Paul was enjoying the lobby too. Mostly he was enjoying running back and forth across the bridge. He wasn't the only kid enjoying the bridge. He was a little wild by this point and tired again. He's like his Mama and will run around and avoid sitting still so he doesn't fall asleep. We enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs watching him for a bit. Michelle joined him on the bridge and made a special wish.







We finally got John Paul to sit and eventually Michelle had him asleep.


The time for our Southwest check in was fast approaching. I opened my app and nothing happened. The Wi-Fi was not working. I panicked. I turned off my Wi-Fi and went to 5G. I opened the app again and I was logged out. Of course I couldn't remember my sign on. I finally found it, logged in and checked in. It wasn't too bad we got Group B but I can't remember what it was. Michelle wasn't as worried since she was going to do family boarding with John Paul. Check was done and I was ready to eat. I had enjoyed relaxing in the lobby but now I wanted to eat.

We were called to eat a little after 6. The restaurant was so pretty.



We were seated in the back with another wonderful bench seat for John Paul to stretch out on.


Sleepy was making this a habit at our sit down meals.




I snapped a picture of the menu since I knew I wouldn't remember all the options.




We started by ordering drinks. I don't remember what everyone else had but I had the Enchanted Apple.
Skyy Citrus Vodka, DeKuyper Pucker Sour Apple, and White Cranberry Juice


Danielle was under 21 so she had one of the non-alcoholic specialty drinks. Dennis had the drink that is mixed at the table and smokes I think it was the Smoking Mirror. Johnnie Walker Black, Wildberry, Lime, Rosemary Smoke

I don't know what Michelle had but I'm sure it had alcohol in it. I'm thinking it was the Evil to the Core.

Once we made our entrée selections the meal started coming out really fast. Before we knew it the shared appetizers came. The were so pretty.
Mushroom Bisque
Crispy Mushroom

Hunter’s Terrine
Chicken, Black Truffle, Stone Fruit Preserve, House-made Pickles

Wicked Shrimp Cocktail
Soy, Miso, Avocado, Thai Chili, Greens



I think my favorite was the Mushroom Soup. I was surprised how flavorful it was and the small amount was perfect.

The characters started coming after the apps and before our entrées. Snow White was our first visitor. Danielle did not care to meet any of the characters. John Paul was sleeping so the adults enjoyed some time with them.


Dopey came out next. He tried to get Danielle to interact with him and finally got a photo with her. Michelle and I had no problem interacting with him.







We had all been waiting for Grumpy to visit. John Paul was still snoozing but Grumpy did spend some time with him.




Of course Grumpy loved Dennis' shirt.

After our visits with Snow White, Dopey and Grumpy our entrees came out.

I had ordered the Prime rib and it was sooooo good.

John Paul did finally wake up after the apps and before our entrees. He was even in our table picture the waiter took for us. You can see what everyone had to drink.

After our apps but before our desert we had our turn with the Evil Queen. She was not a fan of my outfit. John Paul was not a fan of her. He was still trying to get truly awake.



Once the deserts showed up he woke up real fast.

The presentation of the Hunter's Gift was really cool. The deserts were all cute and tasty. Overall we really enjoyed our meal and I would do it again if they bring it back.

After dinner Danielle and I headed out to the Monorail Christmas tour. We wanted to see all the decoration. Michelle, Dennis and John Paul had other plans. I'm hoping she will do a post of what they did.

I've gotten so far behind with my Dis time, but I finally caught up. Too many things to quote, but this is bringing back so many memories of our Christmas 2019 trip! I did a monorail tour of Christmas decorations too - none of the kids wanted to join me, but it was lovely to see everything on my own. I'm really sorry I missed the Wilderness Lodge decorations - they're beautiful!


Your dinner at Artist Point looks fantastic - the theming on all of the food is really awesome, and those desserts are so cute. The sneer on the evil Queen's face is hysterical!

Have a great time on your upcoming trip - I can't wait to be back at the holidays someday.

It's getting harder and harder to have Dis time. I'm glad you found some. Christmas time in Disney in 2019 really was great. We didn't know how good we had it. I'm sorry no one wanted to look at the decorations with you. I was lucky Danielle wanted to go. Try to make it to WL next time.
