A joint Liberal/Conservative thread. NO DEBATES!!

Hey Charade!

Thanks for starting this thread! It reminds me why I started reading and posting here way back when. It seems I forgot, but I remember now.

Does that make you my Tinkerbell?

Thanks pal!

IOW, it was a "mandate"? :teeth:

Let's just say that while I have veto power (as does Mrs. Mugg), exercising that power in this particular instance would have initiated the "term limits" clause in my personal domestic congress..... ;)

I've done 4 parks in one day. It was hard and I was alone! I did rope drop at MK rode the train and then Space Mountain. I hopped the monorail over the EPCOT and rode SSE and TT. Hopped the monorail back to MK, picked up my car and drove to AK. Rode Dinosaur and It's tough to be a Bug then drove to MGM and finished the day there. Left for the airport at about 5.

In the end I did 4 parks in 5 hours and rode 6 rides. Whew!

We did 4 parks in one day before. It was Friday the 13th so we started out on the TOT at MGM, stayed thru lunch, next to AK did ITTBAB and Dinosaur, headed to EPCOT got FP for Soarin, had early dinner in Japan, rode Soarin and then took the monorail to MK. We were going to ride Space Mountain but the wait was 30 min. and than we realized the park closed at 7 that night, so we just went back to POFQ. We did it in about 12 hrs. So I know you can do it, but not all of them after dark!

We will be there on Nov. 18th and I guess I figured since MVMCP was starting the week before that all the decorations would be up. I'm pretty sure that he Osbourne lights start that week too. I will have to check.

We've stayed offsite all the times before. And, we've had really great resorts and a couple of less-than-mediocre ones. Last time we were at one of those resorts you had to watch a time share. Oh, I was hoping my dh would bite, but did he? NOPE! :confused3

Anyways, I hate doing that, because it completely cuts into your plans. And, they are so annoying. So, this time, I thought I really wanted to do Disney the right way. . . extra magic evenings, special treatment, dining plan, etc. I'm so so excited. And, my dh is about half as excited. . . which is great, by the way, for him! :) The kids, obviously, can't wait. Everytime the little one (3) sees anything Disney, she says "We're going here in 'tember. They'll hug me. They love me".

I'll add my own hip, hip, hooray. Good idea John! It will be nice to sign off the CB tonight with a smile on my face instead of a furrowed brow. Thanks!

We love the Osbourne lights. It's just not Christmas without seeing them.

There is nothing like staying onsite. Trust me, you will never want to go back to offsite again. You really do feel the magic. You're all going to love it!

The Osbourne light are wonderful! And if you haven't been right there when they turn them on, that's pretty cool too!

I haven't been, when do they do that?

I did the 4 park-in-a-day challange because of just that. It was a challenge. Now I can say "been there, done that". Sometimes I'll do two but I probably won't do all 4 again.

I'll throw in well deserved props to Charade as well!

I guess this is as good as time as any to bring this up; reading both the Liberal and Conservative threads over the last couple of days (and wincing at the violation of the "no debate" code by both camps which I've always considered sacrosanct), I keep thinking of both threads right now as the clumsy 7th or 8th grade dance where the boys are on one side of the room and the girls are on the other, and both sides make attempts to cross over with good intentions and walk back over to their original side having made a bigger mess of things!

Hey, should we strike up a group chorus of Kumbaya or is that too religous for you heathens??? ;)

So, John, are you my 7th grade gym teacher? He always managed to get the kids to actually talk at those mixers in junior high! :thumbsup2

:rotfl2: My school had a very wise solution to that. They kept the punch on one side of the room and the donuts on the other!
