to run into many families from home!!
As the mother of 3, I feel your pain!
Our DD was just 3 on her first trip. I was so excited about it, and had prepped her for the characters, etc..... What a let down

She was petrified of all the characters except Mickey Mouse. She went as far as to barricade herself under the table, cover her head and scream NOOOOOO at the Cape may cafe breakfast when she saw Goofy across the room!!
As the parent, you are torn. Do you act like a loving mother and offer comfort to this loving daughter you have been blessed with, or do you act like the crazed lunatic who has planned EVERY SINGLE DETAIL!!!!!! and tell to cut it out and suck it up???!!!!
We also experienced a week full of bodily function problems. While we did not have any bathroom accidents, we did have the vomit!!
My DD (and both DS and Myself) suffer from seasonal allergies that make us very congested a certain times of the year. She was sorta stuffed, and excitement makes her cough. Well, at Disney, there is no getting around the excitement!!
So, there was no way to get around the coughing. (No, she won't take cough medicine. this induces instant and erupting vomiting.

)
So she coughed her way around. Oh, I forgot to mention, coughing leads to vomiting. As soon as she vomits, she stops coughing, and is fine until the next bout of coughing. While most children explore their way around disney, Jordan threw up her way around disney. And you know. they can never make it to bathroom, trashcan, etc......we hit bushes, flower beds, etc....whatever was handy. I began to carry extra plastic bags around from trash can liners!!!!
Thank goodness, she is now 8 and has somewhat outgrown the uncontrolled coughing/ vomiting. (Now it's just her nerves that make her vomit!!

) What can a mother do??!!
Thanks so much for your trip report. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Even my DH, who hates to read, sat down and read several entries. After fininshing one, he looked at me and said "How did this person come on our vacation?"
I guess we, as parents, all recognize ourselves in other parents!!
BTW, exactly what profession do you have? I read alot of legalese, and you talked about a client, but I'm still not sure?
