As soon as my husband & I heard about the "Drinking Around the World" thing, we knew (me being a bartender and him a former hard-partying fratboy) that we had to take on this challenge on our honeymoon. We strategically planned it on the last day of the trip because a) it was something to get hyped up about towards the end, b) it was a low-volume day at Epcot, and c) who wants to waste a Disney day with a hangover? Though I have to say we avoided the latter, thanks to snacking & hydration
So we took on the challenge with your guide (literally) in hand, and thanks to you, we knew what was a must-taste, and what to avoid. We're mostly beer & wine drinkers, but we knew what to splurge on... i.e. the yummy Grey Goose slushies in France (for me) and the Scotch flight at the Rose & Crown Pub in the UK (for him), while you led us to the better beer in the Showcase.
But the most important takeaway for a Drinking Around the World excursion is this... follow these 3 principles: Pacing, Snacking, and Hydration.
As long as you don't try to leap from Mexico to Italy in 30 minutes.. and from there to Morocco in 10, eat the tasty snacks each country has to offer, and throw a bottle of water in every country or two, you'll have an amazing Epcot experience (and apparently bragging rights that you did it, with class... and if you're like us, servers at the Canadian beer cart will be astonished that you just drank around the world and sincerely ask with confusion, "But... you're sober?" ). Yep, that's right.
