It's been a while since I've ventured around the DisBoards!
I booked our hotel yesterday, so naturally the next step is starting my PTR!
Who
Maybe you followed my last TR about my little visit to Hong Kong. (If not it's linked below). Anyways...I'm Amanda. I'm turning 22 in twelve days. This will be my 2nd visit to Hong Kong Disneyland. I grew up visiting WDW at least once a year, often more than that. I like doing this a little out of the ordinary, so instead of going to California or Florida for spring break, I'm going to Hong Kong!
This time, since travelling alone sucks, I'm taking my older sister. She's never been out of the country, and I'm pretty sure some days she can't stand me, but it's fine. Haha.
When
I kinda gave this away already, but we'll be travelling for my senior year of college spring break! March 10-17, 2017.
Where are we staying?
I get asked this A LOT. Last time I was there, I stayed at this great hotel called the Regal Airport Hotel. If you can't tell from the title, it's located in the airport. Which is also located within 5 minutes of the above-ground-subway-line.
Why?
So this is where it gets weird. Obviously since spring break is a huge travel time, prices in the U.S. skyrocket. I wanted to go to California, but after pricing everything out (plane, tickets in, hotel, food) it came out about the same to California or Hong Kong. Which blew my mind. And eventually there will be a time where I can't just decide to go to Hong Kong 'on a whim' (okay, like 4 months planning) but still. So...off to Hong Kong we go!
Our Planning Process
I'll update this as we go. Right now just space saving.
