A Happy ECV Report.

We just returned last night from our 6 night trip. DH rented his ECV from Care Medical. He decided on this company because the people seemed very nice. The scooter was waiting for us upon our arrival at CSR. We were concerned about using the Disney busses this trip after our ordeal with our last trip. I am happy to report that the busses and the drivers were AWESOME! There were some drivers that were more friendly than others. I was so worried after reading stories here on the DIS so I wanted to provide a happy report.

About Care Medical - DH says he would rent from them again. The ECV was comfortable. It didn't have a headlight so we learned in the future to ask about that.

Glad to hear this. Was it easy to get around CSR in an ECV? That is where we plan to stay in June and my mom will be in an ECV.

It was very easy to get around CSR on the ECV. We fax'd in a room request asking for a convenient room because DH would have an ECVWe had also asked for a room in the casita section since we had stayed in the Cabana section 2 yrs ago. They had assigned us a room in casita 1 and I asked them to switch us to casita 4 or 5 and they told us they could but it would be on the 2nd floor but convenient. Our room was right around the corner from the elevator of casita 4. We found that section of the resort was great for getting to the bus stop #2 which is really the first bus stop for the parks.

OMGoodness! I was so happy to read this thread! I'm also renting from Care Medical in a few weeks, you're right, there staff is very sweet. I have been really concerned about the busses. This thread was good news to hear!

That's why I made this one the first post I wrote after getting back online. I even wrote here before updating my TR. I was so afraid of having problems with the busses which really would have gotten DH upset enough that he would have been miserable and nasty the rest of the trip. I know for us, I figured out the best bus stop for us at CSR which also made a world of difference since we are RD people.

I don't know if they have them with headlights. The ECV that DH rented from Scootarama on our last trip had a headlight.
