The next morning (Friday) our plan was to be at the bus stop for 8:15 for the 9:00 rope drop at Animal Kingdom. DH and I were again up before the wake-up call, and were down at the food court while waiting on the others. He and I split a breakfast platter of eggs, sausage, biscuit, and I think bacon. All I wanted were the eggs and bacon and he was wanting a sausage biscuit so it worked out perfectly. While we were eating, Christy called down to say that they had overslept a bit and would be a little longer than 8:15 leaving. We told them no problem and that we would just take our time with breakfast and see them when they were ready. Jason and Katie went ahead to the bus stop since they had already finished with breakfast and wanted to be sure not to miss the rope drop ceremony. It was around 8:50 when the other 6 of us got to the bus stop and the AK bus was CROWDED this morning!!! No worries - we had all day for this park, so we weren't deterred by the crowd at all. The bus ride was quick and uneventful and while walking into the park, we stopped for a few photopass pics. Okay, I need to add a small "disclaimer" on the 2nd picture here - the photographer told us to hold up our "paws" and growl like a Tiger. Well . . . as with most things in my life, I got a little carried away! Brandon and Christy have had quite a time picking on me about it.
I snapped a few shots before we went in as well
We enterred the turnstiles around 9:10 and found Jason and Katie there waiting for us - I was really glad that they had made it for the show and didn't feel obligated to wait behind with us. This trip was so awesome in that effect - everyone did what they wanted to and no one got upset or sideways or even questioned it! It was truly a great trip! Here are some pics of us as we headed to Kilamanjaro Safari
Oh, a pic of me and Kim - imagine that
Tried to get a pic of Kyle and Christy over my head, and got this sweet shot instead
Aha, here they are!
Doesn't Katie just look so excited! Every disser needs a dis BFF to share the obsession, don't they?
These drummers inspired a pic that I have of David from later in the day
Almost there . . .
Continued . . .
