Hi, Kathy! Remember me? I'm your lurker that sent you a message a while back! Well I've finally caught up to you, but it took me a while. I love your report so far and I hope we get to hear about the rest of your trip soon!

I thought of you the other day... I had my own Adventure in Autism to share! I work as a Teacher's Assistant in the Special Ed section of my Alma Mater. We went on a field trip to six flags new england the other day, and I was one on one with an autistic boy. We were in the middle of a crowded gift shop when he asked me if I wanted to hear a song he had learned at his grandma's. I was just so excited that he initiated a conversation with me that I sad "of course!" Silly me. He immediately starts singing the Alvin and the Chipmunks Christmas song (you know... "me, I want a huuuuuula hoooooooop!" as loud as he can. chipmunk voices and all! Of course I let him finish because I happen to think he was a wonderful singer and everyone around him got a big smile from it.

I am back to the Dis and caught up on your report. I'm so glad Billy's fever stayed at bay long enough for him to see Fantasmic, but so sorry he missed out on Magic Kingdom We were so paranoid about sickness our trip too - I'm sorry it hit you!

Poor Billy !! I hope he gets better so he doesn't miss out on Chef Mickey's. I read all your TRs and it's sad&sweet to see how Billy is growing out of some things. No more Playhouse Disney?????? Who would have thought ?

Tricia and Catie are both so pretty and, I gotta say, they seem pretty easy to live with for young teens.

I miss Aunt Rae this trip!!

I was well over 20 pages behind, but I'm on track now. Your post back in April about autism had me in tears. I have only closely known one child with autism and he forever changed my life. It's a topic that strikes a big interest in me and I often find myself Googling for information about it, or reading books and articles on it. I can really see myself volunteering time for the cause when life settles a bit and Henry is a bit older. I cannot even imagine how your life, and that of your family, has been affected by this "monster". My heart goes out to you!

With that said, the interaction between Billy and the Lion at the character lunch had me grinning ear to ear! What a VERY magical moment!

I hope he turns out to be okay and your time at MK with the girls starts turning for the better...
