A Halloween Adventure in Autism (11/7) Prayer Request for Catie (p.129)

Glad to hear the ME experience went pretty well for you! It sounds like Billy found the movie right up his alley. Has he asked for his own copy of it yet?

:wave2: I have decided to come out of lurking

I totally agree with Billy the best part of the ME is definitely the movie :)

I am excited to see pictures of Kidani Village

Lovely update, Kathy!

Yeah, some people! Sheesh! :confused3 How hard can it be to just get up and walk 2 feet?

Sorry, I"m with most of the others! Certainly most on the bus would have known it was late and you probably were hungry and hadn't eaten. I'd have eaten too.

Glad Billy was happy with his gum and video- happy all the way-------------

HOME!!

Okay I'm so excited to finally post on one of your reports. I have been a DISer for about a week and a half and stumbled onto your first Adventures in Autism my second day on the DIS. I was instantly hooked. My 9 yr old. son Jonnie has PDD-NOS and ADHD as well as LD's and I could relate to so much of what you said. I laughed I cryed I procrastinated getting anything done for my own trip to WDW (our very first) but I reasoned that what I was reading would be invaluable to us touring the parks with not only my son but also my DH who is disabled vetran and has numerous issues of his own. So here I am. I have read all of the Adventures in Autism trip reports straight through (skipped the marathon and current pre trippie I will read them when I get back)and I have to catch up on this TP but I coulden't wait to post. I want to thank you for posting all your experiences. To tell you the truth I had been, on some level, dreading this WDW trip I just coulden't imagine it working well. Now thanks to you I am much more confident.

Karibu Makazi indeed!!! How exciting that you are finally at Kidani! I can't wait to hear all about your impressions of it (and see pictures, of course!) Glad that Billy made it through the ME ride -- I imagine all of you were pretty tired at that point!

Yuck...that flight stench must have been awful! Love the visual of you with the citrus wipe over your nose! LOL! :lmao:

So glad ME was smooth for you and especially for Billy.

Can't wait to see pics of Kidani! :goodvibes

On the 8th day, God invented links-thank you God.

Edit-I'm back after I read the first 4 links.

We had never ridden in a McDonnell Douglas MD88 before... Continental planes (Boeings) were never this noisy.
MidWest Express has these planes, and I walked to the back of the plane and I couldn't believe how noisy it really was. Didn't you get a really bad headeache?

So when did you end up eating your McDonalds food.

When I saw that you didn't get supper before your flight, I knew right away nothing would be open at MCO. Almost everything shuts down by 8:00 p.m. Isn't that wierd? knowing flights come in all night? There was a Starbucks was over to the side and they had sandwhiches and fruit, I would of never seen it, but my coffee addicted dd scoped it out. But we didn't eat there either, we ended up eating at the airport hotel bar/resturant.

One more thing, it's great that your son can attend the school that he does. My nephew is mainstreamed into his public school and it's not the best situation. Our Autistic school in the county was shut down 2 years ago, because of budget cuts. Go figure, the 3rd highest taxed state and it shuts down the school.

Hi Kathy :wave2: FOr some reason my sub to this thread went poof!:confused3

Glad you made it to the airport..although I would have been panicking!

Can't wait to hear more:goodvibes

I had read the first 2 updates but somehow not commented-wierd. Glad ME went smoothly. Can't wait to hear about Kidani-we are hoping to buy DVC there.

Sorry I'm a little late, but I didn't want to miss your TR! Sounds like you're off to an "exciting" start! When do you ever get to eat? OMG..Sarah would NEVER have been able to wait to eat her McD's (chicken nuggets and fries from there is one of her fave foods!) Can't wait to hear and see all about Kidani Village!
