You know - we are all doing a great job with our updates. I did just speak with her- she may have a touch of pneumonia- waiting to go and have Xrays taken, but she is sounding stronger today and still hoping to head home tomorrow.

Getting pneumonia after surgery is not uncommon. It hurts to take those deep breaths to keep your lungs 100% clear!

Peggie sounded very much herself! She was not groggy at all, and quite angry with some nursing snafoo! I took that as a definite sign that she is doing well.

Tomorrow's planned discharge may be delayed. She has been having some shortness of breath, and she may have to wait while the cause is identified and resolved.

She's had a steady flow of visitors and phone calls, and she sends a general <i>Thank You!</i> to everyone. She said she keeps trying to read all the way through her DIS "wishes" packet, but it's <b><i>so long</b></i> that she keeps getting interrupted! (I think this means <b>we </b> did a good job! )

Yep she is getting better......I hope the shortness of breath is just a temporary setback, and I still have fingers crossed for Tuesday homecoming....take lots of deep breaths....

WOW! Peggy, way to go girl!! Sounds like you're doin great!! I am so very very happy, and yes, relieved as well.

You just keep on kicking butte and you'll be back at Disney in no time!!! This is all such wonderful news. I am so happy!!

Quick Peggie update as I am dog tired!

Spoke to her around 10pm tonight. She called me at 9:30 and I was in a meeting and couldn't talk right then...felt so bad!
I did call her back at 10pm. Sounds like herself and it was wonderful to hear her voice.
She is still in the hospital. The xray said no pneumonia, but she does have some lung problems from not being to take those deep breaths like I mentioned before.
Tomorrow she see's a pulmonologist and is on some powerful antibiotics.
Overall she is feeling pretty well, pain is controlled for the most part.
I know she is itching to get home and out of the hospital.

Again, a big thank you from Peggie for all the wonderful thoughts and prayers.
