Thanks K&A&C's Mom. I wonder if our tickets need to be attached to our "disney experiences" and if so, will tickets purchased elsewhere like UT will work?

Hmmm has to be someone that knows:confused3

Well I am going to UT and price compare. Last time I did it was about the same but worth looking. Enough dissers use it so it must be reputable.

UT is a WDW-approved seller - very reputable, we've used them for years as have friends. Your best price will be when you subscribe to the Mousesavers newsletter, they have a designated link to UT that gives lower prices.:thumbsup2 They have good UO tix prices, too.

Have you checked out the Theme Parks Board for your FP/MDE questions? They have the best info, Cheshire Figment works in GS and is able to help with most tix questions. They may even have a sticky for this subject, I haven't been over there lately so can't say for sure.

FINALLY !!! Have my Holiday plans!! Well almost:rolleyes1

Ds in Hs and is off 12/20-1/5/14. dd first year in college and off 12/17-1/20(?).

Dd and I really wanted to try VGF and

Be home for Christmas

And have time to visit with friends

And not pay the ASTRONOMICAL rates at the end of December.

Problem was VGF only bookable 10/23-12/31... Until finally opened up for January!:yay:

So we taking jetblue direct on New Year's Day (Wednesday) and dh and ds16 will fly home Sunday 1/5. We got the VGF 2bdrm lake view and rate reasonable for all days except the 1st. We still can see some of the holiday decor and will have less crowds for parks too!

Then dd18 and I were able to use points for our return only if we flew home on the 8th. ;) so we just have to stay a few days for our girl time. I am going to watch for a deal then with hopes of finally getting RPC! If not maybe Hawaii again or maybe even try BWI CL.

Phew! It is hard to find reasonable airfare, room to accommodate our fussy guys, reasonable room rate and everyone's schedules.

Couldn't do it without everyone's help.

Sounds like an amazing trip.....glad everything is coming together nicely :goodvibes.

Hey, wondering if anyone knows an answer to this ......... odd question.
We are checking in to Sugarloaf in 14 Days :cool1: .
It is rumored ......and highly debated that someone in our family snores ........ :rolleyes1. Wondering if GF can provide some kind of fan or something similiar if we ask ? It would help with some backround "white noise" so I ..........errrrrr .........."someone" in the family wont keep everyone awake at night with the supposed snoring :rotfl2: .
I guess we can ask the CL staff and see if they can help with something.
Anyone have any ideas ???

Thanks,
Syndrome

My brother is a champion snorer! When we used to go together to our moms condo to visit, I made him buy those strips you put across your nose. They worked. Otherwise his snore could take down walls!!

I happened to notice someone mentioning signing up for mousesavers just this morning and signed up. :thumbsup2 Good to hear a second opinion from a reliable source.

I have never been to the Theme Parks Board but I guess I am getting desperate. What if some people in the party have annual passes and others don't? Just when we think we know what we are doing..BAM, now it is a whole new ball game with these MagicBands!!!

Didn't find any ticket info over there but now I must have the Vera Bradley for Disney bags:love:

Going back to the DVC board they seemed to have some good info last week, it was just getting so long I got lost:confused:

Well at least I have time to learn, only 160 days.

Oh and I got Tea Room for DD and I and of course our 2nd time at BOG!!

I like Tea Room the best. Chocolate covered strawberries and champagne here I come. DD loves the scones!!:cloud9:

BTW... with the magic bands... they've reported that spending by guests is up... so be careful with what you spend on!!!

I think the VB bags will be out soon... at least by F&W... I need something to carry all that extra wine home in!

The one that snores I highly recommend a sleep study.

I agree about the sleep study, have him see an ENT specialist. Those strips didn't work for me at all, but it couldn't hurt for him to try just for the trip, the sleep study should be to work towards a long term remedy. Regarding the question of the fan, I've seen people say at other Deluxes they were able to get a box fan delivered to the room, so yes, definitely ask for one. I think the OP said Sugar Loaf, if so, I would just ask the IPO now if they could put the request on the room.
Good luck!

Hi folks. I contacted the IPO about the refillable mugs to see if there were any time limits of how quickly you can refill your mug. I was informed that is not operational yet at the GF.

Also asked about refrigerators in the room being removed. I was asked if it was a medical need for us to have one. I said no. However, it is noted on our reservation to put one in room if available.

3 more days to go until the GF!!!

Yes, as of the 5th still the same mugs...do love the tap and pin pay system, though.

Also, as of the 5th, fridges were still there.

Have a blast!!!

My husband snores but a sleep study found nothing. I was sure he'd be using an apnea machine!

Thanks for the fan info.:thumbsup2

I am out of the loop, are they changing the mug system and removing fridges from the rooms?

I read on another thread here that they are supposed to change to the Refillable Cups with the chip in them. It's supposed to start this month at All Stars resort.

The fridges were recalled because one caught fire somewhere on Disney property. They are replacing them and it could take up to 4 months to do all resorts.

Didn't know about the fridge thing. They are going to out RFID chips in the mugs- like at the water parks. You can purchase it for a specific number of days...like the pp said it is being rolled at at all stars. I read it on a site, but don't remember which one?!?

Thanks for the update!:goodvibes After reading your post, I googled and found a thread on another site that explained the fridge replacement details. I haven't been keeping up, obviously.;)

We haven't been to the water parks since they implemented this type of mug. How does it work, exactly?

Dis blog has an article on this. Apparently you can pick the # of days, like 2,3 or 4, or length of stay which jumps to a whopping $18  bleck. They do say it's good at any resort, so if you have a split stay the chip allows all resorts.
So if these mugs are in for my trip, I can use the same chip mug at both GF & YC. Not happy with price increase though. I am glad they recognize people do split stays. Would like the option of bring back our mug for next trip, to be reprogrammed, instead of having to buy new one.

I guess doing something about the mugs was inevitable..given the fact that some peeps thought that a mug purchase entitled them to free soda for the lifetime of their mug..:confused3... :faint: on that cost tho....keeping the mug but reprogramming the chip would be a very nice option:thumbsup2 wonder if the powers that be have considered that??

k&a&c'smom Hope that your back is all better !

We just got back - they were checking all the frigs, but didn't remove ours.
They told us they were just doing inventory.

We were originally booked for 16 nights at BC CL (two reservations 9 nights first one, 7 nights second).

We went over to Narcoossee's for dinner and kids got nostalgic for the GF. We usually always stayed there when they were little. Ended up switching our second reservations to 7 nights at the GF TPV room. We had a fantastic castle view from our Boca Chica room. It was so relaxing watching the EWP and Wishes from our balcony.

We rented a cabana for the afternoon on our last day. DME wasn't picking us up until 6:50 so it was nice to have somewhere to hand so we didn't feel "homeless".

All in all a fabulous week!

I had forgotten how nice the GF is!
