I was wondering if anyone could recommend a place to go and get a good steak that wasn't super fancy. DH and I are pretty plain eaters and would like to have a steak, but don't need all kinds of sauces and toppings.

Thanks for the suggestions in advance.

Look up Charlies Steakhouse.....it's off property, Probably a $20-30 cab ride. There are 2 in the Orlando area. It is one of the best steakhouses I have ever been too......

We loved the steaks at Yachtsman. If that is too expensive for you, you could always do Teppan Edo (good steaks and you can eat it plain) or Coral Reef minus the peppercorn.

Good luck! We basically did a tour of steaks on our last trip as we were on the delux plan for nine days. Lots of yummy beef on property!

Depending on where you are staying and your budget, I say SHULA's at the dolphin, enough said.

We haven't been there but all the locals we talk to say this is a great place and you leave with money still in your wallet...Give this place a try...:thumbsup2

Thanks for all the suggestions so far, I should have mentioned earlier that we will be on the Deluxe Dining Plan, as we will be doing a bunch of character dining with our three little guys. I thought the steak dinner would be a nice meal for my "big" guy!:lmao:

I absolutely loved the steak I had at Yachtsman last summer. IMO it beat out Narcoossee and California Grill as far as signature steaks go. I also had a good steak at The Wave and The Turf Club.

Yachtsmen Steakhouse. They have great and huge steaks! We are plain eaters too. Just ask for sauce on side or not at all. We also like Flying Fish and Lecellier. Haven't tried any other signatures. We even ask to substitute sides (mashed, baked or fries) We also like Kona. The Wave had a good filet although small for a big eater but subbing was a problem. They don't have fries or baked. When we were there the last time they didn't have mashed potato. Although the menu changes all the time and they did the 1st time we tried it.

We had great filet at both Yachtsman Steakhouse and Artist Point :thumbsup2. As Ro Z mentioned......order the steak with the sauce on the side or without it altogether :). We aren't into any special toppings on steaks either and we had no trouble ordering them to our liking ;).
