A 'ggggrrrr....men!' vent

gggrrrr im so mad at BF. I was going to go into details but i was too worried he'd stumble across the dis-boards!

but basically he has neglected to check something he PROMISED he'd check (and promised he had already checked it) and it would seem that he didn't ever checked it. And it means we may lose out on an extremely important occasion.

Not for the first time either. The first time his 'forgetting to check even though he promised he had' cost us $400 amending flight tickets!

And for the record...these are all things associated with HIM, that I can't check for him. Believe me, if I could, I would, because look what happens when he's left to do it himself!

Sorry for the vent! are all men like this or just mine?

Let me let you in on a little secret.

We men intentionally screw stuff up. That way you (women) get mad at us and tell us you will just do it yourself to get it right. Then we get the silent treatment for a month or so.

The end result is that we do not have to do anything or listen to a bunch of griping which gives us more time for the finer things in life such as golf, beer, Hooters dining and such.

My husband, for some insane reason, drops his clothes directly in front of the laundry hamper rather than putting the clothes inside. Does this make me crazy!?! It makes me insane. Yet, OTOH, my hair is very thick and long and after I wash my hair there is enough hair in the shower that you could make a small animal out of it. As if that's not bad enough, I ball it up in the corner so I don't have to step on it, yet I never take it out of the shower. So guess who has to do it? If he doesn't do it, it just gets added to the next time I wash my hair and after a couple of times it's the size of a small poodle. In other words, we drive each other crazy and we laugh about it, thank goodness. We're not perfect and there are times I want to throttle him (and I'm sure he feels the same way), but we love each other.

See, I'm the forgetful one in the relationship....I'm a disgrace to the entire sex....sorry ladies.

Fortunately, I have a very forgiving fiancee, who is not only more than willing to follow up behind me to make sure I've completed everything I'm supposed to, but puts up with my complete lack of attention span.

Now lying about a promise that was made, that's something that I couldn't ever agree with....forgetting is one thing, continuing to hide the fact you forgot is another....hope everything works out!!
