A Monorail Drink-A-Thon is just a little way for adults to have their own harmless fun at WDW.

Inspired by the DISboard thread "Monorail Drink-A-Thon",
a small group of Disney friends will be embarking on
a monorail journey of their own on Friday, September 30th.

* ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~

We will start by whetting our whistles at the Territory Lounge in Wilderness Lodge.
Yes, we are aware that it is not actually on the monorail line, but we’re ok with that.

From there, we will take a relaxing boat ride to the first stop on
our Monorail Drink-A-Thon, the Outer Rim at the Contemporary.

After the required libation, we’ll hop on the monorail and make
our way to the next stop, the Tambu Lounge at the Polynesian.

Our last stop on the Monorail Drink-A-Thon
will be at Mizner’s at the Grand Floridian.

A true Monorail Drink-A-thon should end with the MK Mountain Crawl -
Space Mountain, Big Thunder Railroad and Splash Mountain.
Sadly however, as this is the first night of Mickey’s
Not-So-Scary Halloween party, that won’t be possible.

What a fun way to meet new people, and to eat, drink, and be merry!

If anyone would like to 'eat, drink, and be merry' along with us,
teetotalers too, please PM me for more information.

I have donned my flame suit as I am sure there are many who will object to our little Disney Meet. That said, while everyone is entitled to their opinion, we are entitled to have fun however we chose. As a responsible poster, I include the following:

Please be a responsible Disney guest and don't overindulge to the point that you're

a.) acting like an obnoxious jerk and ruining the magic for others

or

b.) reintroducing your beverages and snacks to those around you.

Most importantly, with all the Disney transportation options, there is no reason for you to don't drink and drive.

Sorry - but it's firm for the 30th. But hey, with a group of 8 adults, you can have your own! That's too bad because I'm sure a large group would be a blast, but have fun anyway!

Chyam, we might be starting as early as 5:00 (not sure yet) maybe you could still join us.
I'm hoping to go and see Kansas afterwards also.
Never done the Food and Wine Festival before and I'm really looking forward to it.

This sounds great. I have 2 adults in my party going down and I think that it would be a hoot. Do you have any particulars to follow. Neither are big disney people. One of the woman coming down it will be her first disney trip ever. I just think it would be wonderful for them to get to see a lot with out me dragging my kids along. What is the criteria? Do you have to be a Diser to take part? Can you pm me I would love to let them have the option. Thanks

We'll be there for sure at the Territory Lounge, and might be able to stay until the Outer Rim stop. There will be at least two of us for sure, and if the other 4 that we're travelling with are interested, there will be 6!

isla bonita - Lime green is the official DIS color, kind of like a secret handshake. Makes it easier to go up to people if you think you have something in common like the DISboards.
