A friendly "warning" about using photpass plus

..Please do not photograph the actual photpass plus card and use the photo in place of the actual card. carry the card with you because the photo of it on your camera or cell phone will not be accepted by photpass people if you intend to use it to receive your dining photo or ride photo..you need the actual photpass plus card. The reason is the photo of the card could belong to someone else, not the person?family who paid for it and people have been trrying to cheat the system using it in this way and disney is wise to this.

I will still take photos of my regular PP card so if I lose it, I have the number.

Well, the reason people take the photo in the first place is so they have a backup of the card number, NOT so they can use the photo in place of the card itself.

With the card number, you can retrieve any photos taken using that card, even if it gets lost. It would never occur to me that anyone would try to use the photo instead of the card.

yes, you can take a pic of it in case you lose it, etc. but dont use the photo at the dining lacations or ride loacations and try to claim your picture with it as they will tell you they cant give you the photo unless you have the actual photpass plus card..

Recently someone posted, either a CM or someone who said they were told by a CM, that they should do that and that the PP photographers could scan it from the image on the phone. I thought it was odd, and not really any easier than pulling out the card anyway. The advice was not intended to scam though, it was someone trying to be helpful. Probably one one of those threads where someone was trying to figure out how to share their Plus card.

I just did this in Disneyland because the CM who gave me my card told me to. He said that anybody in my party could get the pictures off the rides by showing the picture on their cell phones. He also said we were limited to on package per day per restaurant.

Dland might be different..at WDW you arent supposed to use a picture of the card..of course, you may come across some Cms who arent fully aware of the rules...I am aphotpass photographer so i ama ware of the rules at wdw and have seen firsthand people using photos on their phone and how we deal with it.

Actually, the post said one package per day per restaurant. So unless you're planning to eat at the same restaurant twice in one day, you'll be fine.

I thought I had a solution for our problem, but reading this I realize I still have a problem. How is everyone using the photo pass plus if their parties split up? I am taking my daughter to BBB while my husband takes our boys to the pirates league at the same time.

I was going to have him take the card so he could get the picture packages there, because I know they don't give you pictures at BBB just the images on the card.

Does anyone have any advise how to make this work?

You can get a second photo pass card and link the numbers to one account when you get home.

there are MANY shares out there for the photo pass plus. (for the life of me I can not see how that would work)

since it is a new program disney will hone the way it works.

Take the regular Photopass card with you to BBB and the Photopass+ to Pirates leaque. BBB has always been part of regular Photopass. You will need Photopass + for Pirates Leaque.

No, not with the plus. Some are missing the "plus" part of this.

I had a feeling this had something to do with shares. I'm so sick and tired of cheap people ruining things for the rest of us.

If you aren't willing or able to pay the asking for something, then just skip it.

This post brings back good memories. Last year my family actually did that for the first time....breakfast AND dinner at Cape May Cafe on the same day. DS said that was the best day ever!

You can go back later in the day to get the photos added to the card if someone rides without it. Just write down the number of the photo. The person with the card returns to the ride and gets the picture added. Easy.
