Hey guys! This is my first pre-trip report so bare with me. I'm so excited about my trip and I've been looking forward to it since I walked out of the gates of the Magic Kingdom on that Friday night in January of 2008... Let's get to some of the details!
Who: (Introductions)
-Me, Jon, (DF) the Disney FREAK. I did the majority of the planning for this trip. I planned some of our meals and what parks we would do on which day, but our family has traditions that we do each visit to WDW, so that made the planning a little easier. I love the planning part of any trip, it's half the fun! I've bought all kinds of guide and information books, done countless hours of research on the internet, and even made a series of videos on YouTube. Check them out - just search "jcbm1024".
I've been to Walt Disney World 4 times in my life so far, but really got hooked since my last visit. My first trip was with my parents and brother when I was around 10 years old. I went back with my 10th grade class in high school and I've been twice with my (now) wife and her family. Our first trip together was in February 2006 when we were just dating. We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside and had a great time! The next time we went, which was our most recent trip, was in January 2008, we were engaged and we stayed at the Fort Wilderness Campground. I'm a Tar Heel born and bred and I'm also a Dallas Cowboys and Boston Red Sox fan! Most importantly though, I am a CHRISTIAN!!
-Brittany (DW) is my beautiful wife of almost 2 years now! Our Anniversary is September 20. She is the one who got me turned on to Disney World. Like I said, I had been a couple of times as a kid, but it's when I went back with her and her family that I really started to LOVE everything Disney! She just laughs at me and calls me a "big kid", but she loves me! She loves Disney too, but tries to hide her excitment a little more than I do. She went to Disney many times as a kid - I think they went about every other year or so. It's like a second home to her.
-Scott (DFiL) The Father in Law- He is a big kid like myself and loves Disney. He has been many times with his family and gets excited about our Disney trips the closer it gets to our departure date. You can sometimes find him singing classic Disney songs around the house. He also has a deep love for the Sea World Mime. Not Disney related, I know, but I'll touch more on that later...
-Pam (DMiL) The Mother in Law - I can't tell you how wonderful it is to have In Laws that love Disney!! If it weren't for them allowing me to tag along with their daughter, I may not have the love and appreciation that I have for Disney today! Pam also loves Disney and can always be heard saying "I'm ready to go back" the second we leave to head home until we make it back to Orlando! If momma aint happy, aint nobody happy.
-Brooke (DSiL) You guessed it, the Sister in Law. I love her so much! I've known her since she was this little girl, and now she has become a beautiful young woman! She is like my sister - but we get along great! We are always cutting up and getting on Brittany's nerves! She, like Brittany, has been to Disney many times during her life.

So that's the cast. I'll try to post pictures later so you can put a face with the names and intros.

When: December 3-11, 2010
Where: Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground
Why: Because we would rather go to Disney than anywhere else in the world!

{Stay Tuned...The Trip Itinerary is next...}

I am also going to do a lot of videos from the parks - so make sure to subscribe to my youtube page and check back whenever you can. I'm also planning on doing LIVE TWEETS from the parks (with pictures) - I'll be reporting on crowd levels, wait times, weather, ride and restaurant reviews and just my random thoughts. I'm definitely following your PTR!!

Your plans are almost identical to the original ones we had. We were checking into FW Dec. 3 and staying for 13 nights. Our daily plans were even almost the same as yours (some are still the same). Sooo funny; what a coincedence (sp?)!

We're now staying offsite at the Hilton in a 3 bed condo cause we wanted the added space and we're staying Dec. 3-20. We're bummed about missing out on FW campground but thought the kids would be better off with more room and heat:rotfl2:. We're so excited about this trip; it will be our first.

I can't wait to read more of your plans and to share with you:). I may even steal some of your ideas if they're really good:rotfl:.

Have fun!

Much Love,
Piscesqueen

Some of my goals for this trip:

1) Try a Dole Whip from ALoha Isle and get my wife to video me trying it for the first time.
2) Get a lot of great, unique pictures from the parks.
3) Get video from the parks, rides, shows, etc.
4) Ride some of my favorite rides at night (Jungle Cruise, BTMRR, Everest)
5) Ride some rides that I've never done before (Dumbo, Tea Cups, Pooh, Peter Pan, Snow White)
6) Get everyone in my group to try the Beverly at Club Cool in EPCOT and video the reactions.
7) May try to get some CM interviews
8) Be an extra in the Inidana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular

These are just a few ideas I have so far. I'm sure I'll add more as the trip approaches. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please feel free to post them!
