A food product that was popular when

Freshen up gum. The gum that goes squirt.

Just checked. They still have it available online. Might have to buy some.

That was out when I was in HS and the guys all had another name for it.:rotfl2:

Chef Boyardee original spaghetti sauce. Can still get the newer version.

Baskin Robbins Cream de Caramel ice cream

Union Jack Toffee-ettes

These were like M&M's except with carmel inside of the chocolate. So good!

Sugar Smacks cereal, Tang, Sugar Daddies and Sugar Babies candy, Pudding Pops (miss those!), Push Ups.

They still sell Sugar Smacks, Tang, Sugar Daddies and Sugar Babies(usually the Daddies in candy stores and the babies in $ stores), and Push Pops here.

Clear toy candy at Christmas. They were toy candies on a stick ( like a lollipop) in red, green and amber. Toy shapes were trains, animals, boats. Does anybody remember those? I can only find them online now. They are never in the stores.

Pudding Pops, New York Seltzer, Peanut Butter Boppers, Tato Skins....

I'm sure there are a lot more but I can't think of them off the top of my head.

ETA: Oh yeah, and those Keebler Magic Middles. They were mini chocolate chip cookies filled with fudge.

Planters cheese balls.

Surge pop...er soda for most of you.

Mini Rice Krispie Treats cereal.

Mmmmmmm Planters cheese balls! I miss those!

We used to eat junket when I was a kid.

One of the things I miss is McDonalds french fries with the transfat. Yes, I know, not as unhealthy now and also not nearly as good. But I don't eat their burgers anymore so it not much of a loss.

I've seen the Rice Krispies Treats cereal at Walmart in recent years. It's the only place I've seen it, though.

Rocky Road cereal!!!! It was delicious!!! It tasted similar to Count Chocula, but I haven't had Rocky Road since the 80s. I still remember the tiny red electronic keyboard and songbook that came in one of the boxes :)

ETA-Look what I found!!!!
th

Jiffy Pop popcorn. It's still on the market, but I haven't really seen it in ages. It sort of went out when microwave popcorn became common.

It's popcorn in a preassembled package with an aluminum tray, expanding foil cover, and a wire handle. You were supposed to place it on the stove and it would pop and expand. It looks like the more recent versions have been modified with a black surface to hold onto heat better than the original uncoated aluminum tray.

Is Cookie Crisp cereal still easy to find?

What I remember thinking back then was that I could eat breakfast cereal made by a company better known for making dog food. They didn't even try to hide it behind some subsidiary name. The Ralston Purina logo was there for all to see and looked just like the logo on a bag of Dog Chow.

Indian Corn Chips (shaped like an arrowhead)

Big Buddy Bubble Gum (about 10" long, the package even had ruler markings on it)

Cheese Whiz...I used to eat it on white bread & rolled up. Fruit Stripe gum & Frankenberry cereal.
