A fist full of Disney Dollars!

Yesterday was my last of school with kids. I got lots of gift cards from very nice parents in my class. One family gave me $25 in Disney Dollars! I get to do extra shopping at DLR! And they are so cool! They are engraved and have shiney sparkles on them too. I'm sure they have to do all that to prevent counterfeiting, but still very cool!

Another boy gave me a IASW pin. I always wear different pins on my whistle lanyard depending on what letter we are learning that week. (Pre-K) My last days of school I wore a Tigger pin that said "TTFN" (Ta Ta For Now)

Awww.....it sounds like you had some awesome kids and parents, and they had an equally awesome teacher!

I work in a first grade classroom, and our last day with kids is next Thursday. I have mixed emotions - I will miss this class of kids, they are SO sweet.....but I love that I get to spend the whole summer with my OWN kids, who may not be sweet but they are mine!

Yes, it was sad to leave them but I'm also ready for a break. I'm also not sure if I will even have a job next school year.

Oh man, that's the scary part. They closed my DDs school completely, today is the last day of school and the last day for hers period. It's one of the oldest schools in our district so it's very sad to see it go. That's a very cool gift!! VERY cool!! Enjoy spending it!!

Oh yes, there is a little Tinker Bell on the edge. Mine are $5 bills in a celebration theme. Don't know if they come any other way.

Pixiewings- the public elementary school just down the street from us closed. My boys never went there as we sent them to private school but many teachers and students were sad. They just recently bulldozed the class room buildings and now it is concrete with dirt rectangles where the buildings were. The gym is still there and used for things occasionally. Now I have heard that they are thinking of closing down a middle school here too. Thankfully, my DH, a middle school math teacher, works outside the county and still has a job.

Ooooh! Disney Dollars, cool! I'm still working on the ones that DH's mom gave me for my birthday. I've been spending it on food so that when we go to DLR we don't actually spend any money (well, you know, besides the initial investment of the APs).

I'm impressed that you're finishing school already - over here, schools are only just back after the mid-term break, so there's a good 6 or 7 weeks yet until they finish for the summer.

Well, school starts on August 17th, assuming I do get to go back. Either way, the boys go back to school then.

Ooh how fun love Disney dollars. They don't seem to be as widely spent at DL, people kind of look while you spend them and ask where you got them; makes it a little more magical buying your churro
We got them in 1's 5's and 10's for our "big" trip we took In July. I buy a few everytime I go to town to help fund future trips. Enjoy!!

Oh, I wasn't sure if they came in one's or ten's also. I've never had them before. Making a copy is a good idea. They are very cute, but I don't want to save them! I could fan them out and scan them and use them later if I get around to scrapbooking this trip.

Oh definitely don't scrapbook the actual dollars!! They are money so someone did buy them for you at face value. Definitely spend them!! They are so much fun to spend too! They come in 1, 5 & 10 values.

Well remember you can get them just about any time.......the parks always have them so you can always get some more.

They are something I like to get as a gift because I wouldn't buy them myself. I usually bring very little cash to the parks because it is just easier to use a credit card. Now if I forget to pack them I will faint! I should go put them in my DL purse.

I do buy Disney Dollars, I use them for allowance for my girls.
