The best place I've found to watch MK fireworks is on the train station platform in Main Street. I even once was able to snag a few chairs and sit by the railing once for the whole show! This gets you up above the crowds and you're dead center for the castle. You're also right near the exit for a quick get away.

If Main Street is clogged with people, cut through the shops on either side, there all connected (and have a/c!) and will save you lots of time trying to get in/out of the park when it's packed.

Parents, save money eating in the parks! Most adult meals at the fast food outlets can easily be split between two kids (or even adults).

Wear comfortable shoes. Wear comfortable shoes. Wear comfortable shoes. Wear comfortable shoes.

That's all for now. I leave on Saturday, can't wait!

Chicago526,

Another good place to see the fireworks is in Toontown. The fireworks are let off from Mickey's backyard.

It is a great spot for viewing, but there's no music back there. :(

I will agree with the tip on eating in the parks. We are very "thrifty" (bordering on cheap!), but, IMO, even though most of the meals in the parks are not cheap, the portions are pretty generous. Our family of six can eat for a fairly reasonable cost by eating a light & quick breakfast in our ASMo room (cereal, granola bar, bananas, milk, juice) and then eating one meal in a "sit down" restaurant and one "counter service" meal. We bring snacks to fill in between meal times and get by quite nicely!

Chicago, I am in Naperville, can I stow away and go with you?? I was just threatening the kids last night that "Mommy is going to run away!!"
