A few other things based on other posts I've read around the boards recently.
Even though they state a check-in time of 3:00pm, don't worry if you get there early. We were there before 11:00am and thought we'd have to wait for our room to be ready, but we didn't. It was ready for us. We had a car, so we were planning on just leaving everything in the car while we headed off to Epcot for lunch at World Showcase, but we were able to unpack.
Don't forget to sign up for Ghiradelli g-mail within 30 days of your trip to get your Buy 1, get 1 free sundae coupon. Since the sundaes are $6.95 each, it's well worth getting the coupon for that special treat.
For our grocery shopping, we headed off to Super Target. It was pretty easy to get to. What we'd done was go out by Downtown Disney (Buena Vista Drive) then take a right to go down by the hotels. This takes you right out to S.R. 535. Right across was Goodings supermarket which was close, but pricey. If you take a right and follow that all the way to 192, then take a left onto 192, Target is right up the street on the left. Worth the trip for us.
Also, right outside the resort on SR 535 were a bunch of restaurants. McDonald's, TGIFriday's and Uno's were right across from the street when you come out of Disney. Take a left and you've got Subway, Dunkin Donuts, IHOP, Chili's, Macaroni Grill (we ate here twice - used Chili's gift card - same company owns both), Joe's Crab shack (ate there too, using one of our Rainforest gift cards since they are owned by the same company). If you take a right onto 535, there's Golden Corral, Bennigans and a bunch of others. (I wrote some down, but I have the list at home.) So for anyone looking to save some $$ on food, going off-site is a great option especially since it's so close.
