I have to start by saying I was really nervous to get to the BCV and see my room because I requested an Epcot view and had read so many negative reports on those views. I almost changed my request to pool view but I decided to take my chances and am I glad I did.
I loved the view that I had!! We stayed in room # 467, a dedicated 2BR. It overlooked Spaceship Earth and had a great view of the fireworks, and a great view of the canal below. Which we were able to watch the alligater and all the turtles in from our balcony, and we REALLY enjoyed watching all of them. We saw the alligater 3 times! The room had 3 private balconies. The only thing I did not like about the balconies is that the lights stayed on all night. I would have liked to sleep with the curtains open, so if I woke up in the middle of the night, I could sit up and see the beautiful colors of Spaceship Earth. Then I could fall back to sleep with a smile on my face. Oh well, I slept with the curtains closed and pictured it in my mind instead. Not for long though, I was so tired by the end of the day, I fell asleep really fast! I went with my DH, DD(4 yrs.), DS(11 yrs.), and my DM. Both my DH and I thought the second BR was very private. My DH loved the room and the close access to Epcot because this was his first time going to WDW and he loved Illuminations, so he walked over 3 times to go see it. The room was very close to the road, I thought that the noise might bother me, but it did not. I could hear the traffic even with the door closed. I always sleep with a noise machine on and I wake up around 6:30 every morning, so maybe that is why it did not bother me. If you like it silent then this room may not be for you.
The only thing that I would complain about was housekeeping. When we arrived there were a few crumbs scattered about on the rugs in each room, the tile floors in the kitchen and the bathrooms where very slippery(I almost fell the first time I stepped onto the kitchen floor), there were quite a few hairs left over on both the bathroom floors, and when I went to take a shower on the first morning I was there, I grabbed a towel and an UNused sanitary napkin fell out of the towel!! Thank god it was unused!!! However, in their defense, I called them for an extra hairdryer for the second bedroom, and an egg crate for the pull out bed in the second BR (which by the way helped alot) and they were there both times within 5 to 10 minutes.
Overall, I loved the BCV and I am glad that it is my home away from home. I am very much looking forward to my next trip, whenever that may be. I have to start working on that!
p.s. I had my lime green mickey ears on the whole time I was there and nobody stopped me and I did not see anybody else wearing lime green ribbons. Where were all of you? I would loved to have met SOMEBODY.... ANYBODY! Well, maybe next time I will have better luck.
