A few races and food, some theme parks and food, and a cruise...

With the rundisney emails, they send a "goodie bag" by email; basically links to giveaways and discounts. And recipes. Alas, along with appetizer and entree, they have a "desert". I mean come on. Desert?

I've sent FAR too many typo notifications in to rundisney already. I just can't do another. And unlike Intrepid Traveler who sent me a brand new 2014 Universal guidebook when I helped them with a spelling error, rundisney has given me nothing.

So I'll just let them embarrass themselves. They really should hire me. I am not a perfect writer, and I make typos, too, but I can see someone else's error from a mile away!

Hmm must be hot.....

Seriously don't they have a proof reader?

I've offered my WorkFromHome services, but they apparently do not have such a position. :3dglasses

They probably should! So you can have a strawberry rhubarb desert and awhile back you could get "sliver" level of ChEAR Squad. Obviously they destroy all typical spell check programs, what with their EARs getting put in everything, but sliver? Come on now.

I've now taken to keeping the disney dining page open to Be Our Guest, and I check it every so often.

That drives me nuts!

ETA just made a brunch reservation at Raglan Road for our second Sunday in January. Sounds interesting.

Hello Molly!

I wanted to let you know I posted a couple of fuzzy photos of the house.

Just so glad you're home, Mich.

******************
Pre-race talk. The other day on Ann's PTR I saw that SkirtSports was having a sale. So I bought a new skirt and a pair of shorts from them. The skirt is the same color as one I already have, but the one I have is nearly to the knee, and this one is a bit shorter (the Gym Girl skirt). I'm more confident about my legs now, so I'm more OK with showing some legs. The shorts are, well, short, but really comfy. I liked running in the shorts for TOT. Now I just have to find a time and place to try these clothes out for a really solid, sweaty run! The treadmill won't give me the right conditions; then again, raining and 40 degrees isn't going to give me the right conditions, either. At least...I hope not!

Well, we'll see. :)

Hello Molly!

Thank you! It is wonderful to be home! Now if we ever get organized it will be wonderful! I am hoping to get my Villain decals up. There never seems to be enough time in a day.

I am so thrilled for you with your racing. You have stayed with it and been so good about it.

I am rant-free so far today. Whew. :goodvibes

:rotfl2: but I kinda like your rants. ;) Seriously though... I don't know what the lady's problem was regarding the phone. Whatever. But the guy at the urinal... that is just weird too.

Got the extra 4 in today. I was supposed to, then I tried to be too lazy to do it, and suddenly I was getting into my running clothes and finding a route on mapmyrun.

OMG! I do this often too. I think "maybe I just don't feel like going today" Then before I know it I am in my running clothes and on my way.

Day 1:

Resort Plans...Pop Century

Transportation Plans...Get to airport, get Starbucks breakfast, get manicure at Butter:London. DS will play on his videogame thingie to pass the time. If there's time, I'm getting a chair massage next door to the nail place. If they allow kids to get massages, E will too. (maybe we'll do it vice versa, not sure) Board plane, travel!
Yay! While I know travel day is a bit exhausting...it is still VERY exciting!!!

Magical Express or car. Get to resort. Get bags squared away; it'll be solidly after 5 so our room should be ready.

Current Park Plans...head to DHS for the last couple hours.

Current FP+ Plans...TOT, Star Tours, Rock and Roller Coaster

Most Important Park Plans...see Osborne Lights, second to last night it's open

I am so jealous!!! I wish we were arriving early enough to see the lights, but sadly we are not. :sad2:
Food Plans...Starbucks at airport, airplane Mediteranean Tapas lunch box, maybe Backlot Express at dinner, or if we aren't hungry, back at the food court?

Day 2:

Resort...Pop

Transportation Plans...Unless we get a car, bus it (ugh) to a park, but later, after some rest.

Current Park Plans...These were changed to match the at-the-time plans of a certain WDW fan and her kids. If it needs to be changed again, that's OK! Anyway, Magic Kingdom.

Current FP+ Plans...starting in the afternoon, BTMM, Haunted Mansion (the kid owes me a second ride from October), Space Mountain (I might take the chicken exit, or I'll try it One Last Time in my current more flexible and healthy body to see if it still hurts that much.

Most Important Park Plans...honestly, to not stay to closing time. But the other goal is to spend time with others, if that's the day that works out, so we'll do what we gotta do!

Food Plans...food court, Columbia Harbour House, ?

Yum! I love CHH. It is on my list for January too

Other Ideas/Pre-Plans...swim? explore resort?

Day 3:

Resort Plans...Pop

Transportation Plans...Unless we get a car, bus it to...

Current Park Plans... Animal Kingdom. Working on getting up a bit earlier today. Gotta get on the timezone!

Current FP+ Plans...Safari, Kali, Everest

Most Important Park Plans...Have fun. Maybe do more Wilderness Explorer?

Food Plans...the vegetarian kiosky thingie. nothing else planned.

Other Ideas/Pre-Plans...swim?

Day 4:

Resort Plans...Wake at Pop, move to BWV studio

Transportation Plans...Unless we have a car, we will probably just take our stuff over to BWV in a cab.

Current Park Plans...Nothing until evening. Then Epcot.

Current FP+ Plans...Starting in the evening, Figment (because we've never been on it), Mission Space, and Illuminations. That's another One Last Chance thing, because we have yet to enjoy it and WANT to enjoy it.

Most Important Park Plans...Relax.

Food Plans...Starting the day off at Kouzzina. Thinking of bringing in our own veggie "meats" LOL. Lunch...something around the resort? Dinner...Cheese Empanadas at La Cantina de San Angel? Just found out about those. Yum. Sunshine Seasons Gardein products?

I think Kouzzina is definitely a hidden gem. Sounds like the cheese empanadas at La Cantina de San Angel might be as well?

Other Ideas/Pre-Plans...Relax.

Day 5:

Forgive me, what day of the week is this? I think we are going to the expo on thursday

Resort Plans...Wake at BW, move to SSR Studio

Transportation Plans...We will send all of our stuff over by Bell Services. As for us, we're heading to the Expo in the morning so we'll take the RunDisney bus from BW to that. After the Expo, take the RunDisney bus to SSR. Hmm...must be prepared for the afternoon, and bring bathing suits and sunscreen with us that morning...

Re-thinking...maybe it would be best to get up a little earlier, have breakfast there if needed, then cab it all over to SSR so we know where our stuff is and can get to it? Hmm...

Current Park Plans...Once we are all done at the Expo and resort and are totally ready, DHS.

Current FP+ Plans...Starting in the mid-afternoon, Toy Story, Rock and Roller Coaster, and, in a Just This Once move, Fantasmic. Yes I know getting a FP for this makes no sense because you don't have a seating area nor are you promised entry, but, you know, whatever...

Most Important Park Plans...Relax.

Food Plans...If we loved Kouzzina the morning before, we'll head there again if they have an opening. Absolutely no clue for lunch or dinner, though I am sort of missing the idea of Brown Derby, and of course there's still Backlot Express. But we'll be heading to SSR to sleep, so there's their "food court"! Lots of options.

Other Ideas/Pre-Plans...Have FUN FUN FUN at the Expo! Get there at opening! Buy good stuff! See if they'll give a child a short pre-race massage. :) Fun!

Day 6:

Resort Plans...Wake at SSR.

Transportation Plans...After waking nice and early, take the RunDisney bus to the 5K!

Current Park Plans...no plans.

Current FP+ Plans...nothing.

Most Important Park Plans...not a one!

Food Plans...After our 5K, we have the Breakfast in the Park scheduled. It's a post-5K, at-Epcot, breakfast with character greetings, etc. I'm hoping there is tasty food that we can enjoy and that it's fun. Lunch and dinner? Up in the air.

Other Ideas/Pre-Plans...If we're feeling OK, maybe a little bit of Epcot after the breakfast, but there's also stuff to do at SSR like swimming and relaxing.

Day 7:

Resort Plans...Wake at SSR, move to AS Music family suite.

Transportation Plans...Unless we have a rental car, we'll probably just probably cab everything on over to ASMu and stash our stuff with Bell Services there. We'll be sure to keep E's running stuff and my camera stuff AND the sunscreen with us, because he has his Mickey Mile this day!

Current Park Plans...Only because of food, Animal Kingdom, later on.

Current FP+ Plans...Nothing.

Most Important Park Plans...EAT.

Food Plans...I know this is an odd choice before a long run, but...Tusker Hour for dinner. Early dinner, 5pm. Hear me out. I don't eat weird things there. I stand zero chance of eating meat that's gone off. We'll have had a studio with a microwave for a few days and will probably have a grocery delivery with some nice veggie fake-meat, we'll bring other proteins with us, etc. I love the taste of Tusker House food, and since it's dinner we won't be bothered by characters, it's barely any more than the lunch, and I'm really looking forward to it. I think it's early enough that it won't cause troubles for me by the time of the run (if at all).

My prerace dinner is at Boma. Similar foods. I find the spices not too extreme in most of it... but all the rice..pasta.. grain dishes are really nice.

Hopefully by this time my aunt and boy-cousin (first cousin once removed to be totally exact) will be there and will join us! The "exotic" food was making me think they shouldn't, but Robert reminded me that our cousin is a definite meat eater, and not all the meat there is exotic...he'd likely enjoy it.

As for breakfast and lunch, unsure!

Other Ideas/Pre-Plans...This isn't just an idea, but it's an "other"...at noon E has his Mickey Mile run. We'll take the RunDisney bus over there and back. Go E!

Go E!!! I gave dd the option of doing the mile... she decided since this is the last time she "could" do the 400 meter dash (next year she will be too old) that she would want to do that instead.

I'll be trying to head to bed EARLY, but my aunt and cousin will be there to amuse the kiddo. I'm looking forward to the boys having some fun together. Maybe we'll swim after dinner so I can be sure to get sleepy early on. Ooh but what if I exhaust myself physically? Hmm, not good.

Day 8:

Resort Plans...Wake at Music! I will be waking up absurdly early and sneaking out to go run/walk 13.1 miles.

Transportation Plans...I'll be using the RunDisney transportation to and from the race. Anything else we do will be in my aunt's minivan.

Current Park Plans...Well, no true park plans, but if the dining plans work out, we'll hit Magic Kingdom for Be Our Guest that evening.

Current FP+ Plans...None.

Most Important Park Plans...Not to be selfish, but EAT. :)

Not selfish...SMART :thumbsup2

Food Plans...Before and directly after my run, I have the Race Retreat purchased, which gives me foods and some drinks to fuel and replenish myself. Hope hope hope it works because I don't want my aunt to see me all, as I call it, "puny". All drawn and dehydrated, with a weird hoarse soft voice like I don't have the energy to speak, and all weird? Yeah, that wouldn't be good in front of my aunt...mom's sister so she's basically my mom now, and worries more than my actual mom ever did...she's got to see me strong!
Once I get back to the resort and shower and pass out and wake up and get ready, we have Tea scheduled. Then a few hours later I will, with any luck at all, get ALL of us (not just 3 of us) scheduled at Be Our Guest. Aunt and cousin will be able to find something to eat...cousin likes Beauty and the Beast, it's a NEAT experience that I don't think they'll have had by then (and he'll be about to get a brand new baby sibling at that point so he should have some neat big-kid experiences IMO), and I'll be able to have my potato leek soup and whatever salad I loved before. Oh, and a beer. mmmmm.

Other Ideas/Pre-Plans...Try to walk it out! Try not to limp! Wear comfy shoes! Enjoy cousin and DS's time together because it'll be their first just-the-boy-cousins time! Enjoy my aunt!

Day 9: (wow that's a lot of days)

Resort Plans...Still at Music

Transportation Plans...Aunt's minivan

Current Park Plans...As far as I know, no plans. Up in the air. IMO we should go to Universal. Just not sure MY cousin will allow us to take her son there quite yet. Which I totally understand from her point of view, absolutely. But I need to actually talk with her to see. :)

Current FP+ Plans...nada!

Most Important Park Plans...nope!

Food Plans...Food. Lots of it. From wherever I can get it.
Just made a Raglan Road BRUNCH reservation for 12:30 this day. Just heard about it yesterday and it intrigues me.

Other Ideas/Pre-Plans...Not much in my head for this day! After all, the day after the 10 miler, we had been up so late and I was so wiped out we made it through one meal and one ride and called it quits. So...who knows.

That said, at 4ish they are having a "cool down party" at DTD for Marathon Weekend participants, and the kidlet and I WILL be going. Absolutely positively! And each of us will have two medals. Two! Superfun. Aunt and cousin might come along, but he has school the next day so I don't know their schedule.
I still have yet to figure out the exact details of the cool down party. I will also be there though! We have an ADR at Paradiso

Day 10, Monday:

Checking out of Music.
E and I have Tusker House lunch plans this day.
And after that, we'll somehow head on east to stay with my aunt for nearly a week! We have a few small plans made.

This vacation, but mainly this family-time week, is causing problems with E's dance schedule. UGH. But it was scheduled long before he was invited and I told them about his long absence before he accepted their invitation. Gotta keep telling myself that!

Then the following Saturday, Robert flies in. We somehow meet up and start our nice, LONG stay at Universal. Funnily enough, since our whole WDW stay is paid for by nearly free nights at hotels.com or the last dregs of our DVC points until 2015, we'll have paid nearly nothing for that part. It's the Universal part that's killing me, LOL.

We will be at Universal over the time of some sort of Harry Potter celebration, and I imagine we'll stand in line for one or two events.

It is very cool that you fit in US too!

The Sunday after we've been there a week, we head to Port Canaveral and board Freedom of the Seas for a WEEK. I'm SO excited. I know that this whole trip is ridiculously long and thank you thank you Robert's job and the fates and fortunes that have allowed me and the kidlet to head out for fun, running, and family (and learning! we have been studying up on all sorts of things, and have sightseeing planned based on our studies!) and to be gone for so long. (and, to any listening thieves, we also thank our laser-beam alarm system, huge robotic attack canines, and, most importantly, our nicely secure building with VERY nosy neighbors)

To add a cruise on top of it all is just insane. But, weirdly, the cruise was planned first. Then the run. Then I realized there were just two weeks in between and I don't like flying that much. And off I went.

You are going to have such an excellent vacation!!!

But anyway, I do have to tell you that I'm becoming extremely charity minded, and I've been reading up on the Rescue Mission here. I'm going to start donating money there, but tomorrow we're going to donate some coats that don't fit me and E anymore (they take direct donations, I checked) to hopefully help out some people. It's been cold here, after all. All of this has come from my repeated realizations that our current situation puts us in the camp of very lucky people, and I'm being pulled to make SURE I'm helping other people in some way.

OK...so the cruise (not in this order!) has 3 at-sea days, one Cococay day, and we also visit San Juan PR and St Maarten. I can't think of one thing wrong with that itinerary.

At the end of all that, we have a decent flight scheduled...not too early, not too late. One connection, but again, not too late so we're losing our minds if it's delayed to a normal extent, but we'll have time to relax. We are scheduled to arrive at our home airport at a somewhat decent hour. And almost all of our flights are covered with air miles.

Yay for the airmiles!!!

Ta-dahhhh!

Aw, the wee bairn just lost a tooth. A lower canine; the third canine he's lost so far! He's feeling all huggy and grown at the same time. And yes he's up late. Wasn't supposed to be, but then he came out with this tooth all loose....

ETA just made a brunch reservation at Raglan Road for our second Sunday in January. Sounds interesting.

My kids have all been late in the tooth loosing department. DD lost a front tooth when she fell a couple years ago. :scratchin maybe a few years ago. Thought was that she normally would have lost it within a year or so... but like her siblings she probably would not have lost it yet... so the vacant spot has sat there...and there is NOTHING growing in. I do have some hope though since she recently lose one of her bottom teeth. Yes, the girl is almost 9 and just starting to loose her teeth.

Well, she's had quite enough going on in her young life. Maybe her body just thought "let's work on this other stuff first, shall we?" :) And of course with that super-healing thing she's got going on, the teeth probably have quite a fight to get through her gums!

Go E!!! I gave dd the option of doing the mile... she decided since this is the last time she "could" do the 400 meter dash (next year she will be too old) that she would want to do that instead.

That's adorable. Sniffle.

We're hitting the Expo on the first day of it. So the 8th? But we might very well go back. Being there at the TOT expo felt really exhausting to me; I think it's the convention center thing...weirdly lit space, lots to see, recycled air...I remember feeling far too exhausted at seminars in grad school in convention-type places, too. So I could see going again.

Looks like Robert's not going to be able to get back for the kiddo's performance. The flight number he's booked on for tomorrow was cancelled for tonight's flight, and the flight that was supposed to go out 1.5 hours before that one is STILL on the tarmac. It's supposed to land here at SEA in 28 minutes and it's still in Dallas. He would lose his mind sitting on the tarmac that long. It's one thing to be on a flight to Australia for 3/4 of a day. It's totally different to just sit there without moving. He's either going to try for a flight out in the early afternoon or just cancel. What a bummer.

I'm just glad the chance of snow eased up for us today and tomorrow! We could actually walk to Eamon's performance on Saturday if we had to, but walking to the Y for his rehearsals is a bit different! (and we live at the bottom of a hill and drive a Grand Marquis which isn't good in snow AND I'm no good in snow...bad combo)

I was about to post this in Ann's PTR but realized it's about me me me so I should refrain. :)

Weird allergic-to-something update...I think I'm actually allergic to the sports wash stuff. :headache: Washed things in it a few times, and am itchy just where those specific clothes cover. AWESOME.

Anyone local want a bottle of hardly used sports wash?

I got my skirtsports shorts (called the "redemption" I think?) and gym girl skirt. Augh, such cuteness! The shorts feel a bit short, but I guess that's the point. :) Meant to try them out today after doing my weights workout (which I wore sweats for because doing leg presses while wearing short shorts isn't my style) but got to chatting with the other "dance moms". It's good for me to be social. I spent a LONG time being antisocial, so I need the practice. Online doesn't cut it, and being social in real life helps me be better online. Which I think is probably a good idea for me to be. Better here, that is. (spent a long long time really hating myself...long long time...)

Also bought the digital image of my 5K over the summer, and realized that my friend took just as good a shot as I finished my 10K in September as the race people did so I didn't have to shell out for that, too. So now I have digital images of all my "real" runs! Very fun.

That reminds me that I really need to sign up for one of the Dec 25th-ish runs. Meant to do a 11/28 one but didn't sign up in time and the idea of paying $40 each for a 5K (that 2/3 of us would have walked) didn't make me happy.

Maybe I should sign up for the St Patrick's Day Half around here, too. Cute medal, after all. ;) Gotta keep myself moving!

That is very kind of you to say. She has had quite a bit to deal with... the teeth remaining in... yeah, probably something genetic. I myself didn't get my wisdom teeth till I was 30.

We are planning the 9th. I hear ya on how exhausting it feels. Did you do the phm? They had the expo at CSR and it was SOOO packed. It just was a marathon just to fight through the crowd. I never even got into the RD booth because the line was (I want to say) hours long.

:sad2: That stinks. I am sorry. Seems like that is how it goes for the dads... they miss more stuff than seems fair.. I know my dh has missed performances here and there too.. Add in that yours has to deal with flight woes and it sucks even more.

I'm just glad the chance of snow eased up for us today and tomorrow! It has been so crazy this week! We got snow monday night. (I think it was monday) And although it was not much more than a dusting ...maybe a half inch at most... it has mostly stuck around. It has been freezing cold. So weird to wake up each morning to see white roof tops. We didn't get any last night though.

I was about to post this in Ann's PTR but realized it's about me me me so I should refrain. :)

:rotfl: I have no problem with you posting whatever you like on my PTR. And this would have been relevant to conversations since Cynthia often talks of her allergies... and I of Zoe's.

Weird allergic-to-something update...I think I'm actually allergic to the sports wash stuff. :headache: Washed things in it a few times, and am itchy just where those specific clothes cover. AWESOME.

That doesn't sound like fun. Sorry to hear that you reacted. I think laundry soap is often a culprit in reactions.

Yay for getting your skirtsports shorts. I got my capri/skirt combo thing. One of my new favorite items to wear...especially since it has been cold out lately.

And on the anitsocial thing... It is good to be social...and I agree, online doesn't entirely cut it...but is good practice. I do hope you don't hate yourself any more. Seems to me like you should have no reason to.

I have never purchased a race photo. Kinda irritates me... especially at the RD events... the photographers seem to not be very good at getting good shots.

I have also been tossing around the idea of a december race. I try to do one event a month. (did two in October though to count for September) Time is getting away from me though and with both Christmas and the trip very quickly coming up... I kinda need my weekends for other things. I don't know... I run anyway, maybe an ugly sweater run?

I did a St. Patricks day race last year... great course... but the race itself was a tad poorly managed. I mean, I am all about the after party/food...and that was actually pretty great. I just think the iron on tshirts that we got left me wanting a tad more.

Iron-on t-shirts, wow, they spared no expense, eh? :)

I still get angry with myself, but I'm actively working on it. For whatever reason I just don't say things right, and even though I know that everyone has that problem sometimes I'm far harsher with myself than I would want others to be with themselves. Like in conversation I mentioned Robert's plans to come back up to see E's performance and how glad we were (this is before this storm made itself known to us) and then realized I was talking about this with a woman whose husband had died when her kids were little babies. I mean come on, filter yourself Molly. But the phrase "putting your foot in your mouth" wouldn't exist if it were only me saying stupid things.

This story is impossible to relate in writing, but I was once on a business trip (back when I worked outside the home) and 3 of us were packing to go to our corporate apartment places (wow that sounds fancy...I was at amazon and had volunteered to help train a new CS site for the summer). The major overpacker of our group was taking some time, and the other woman asked her "So are you all ready, C?" And C said "yes, but I still have to do xyz." And the first said "So, you're not ALL ready, then..." And C burst into laughter and we all shared a funny moment. If I had said that EXACT same sentence it would have come out wrong and they would have been angry with me. Story of my life.

Seems there's a MetroParks run that's cheap on the 24th. And we'll get jingle bells. :) I think I'll sign up for that one. The Tacoma City Marathon folks REALLY want you to sign up early because again the one on the 14th is just too expensive for what it is, IMO.

Iron-on t-shirts, wow, they spared no expense, eh? :)

:rotfl: nope... well, again though... to be fair. There was ample food after the race. (including a taco truck)

I think that sometimes it is easy to take things wrong. Online especially... but IRL as well.. Delivery can be everything. I know i have a down turned mouth... tend to squint cause I am blind... and often... VERY often people think I am upset or angry. I have to seriously work to look "chipper" ;)

Seems there's a MetroParks run that's cheap on the 24th. And we'll get jingle bells. :) I think I'll sign up for that one. The Tacoma City Marathon folks REALLY want you to sign up early because again the one on the 14th is just too expensive for what it is, IMO.

oh yeah... jingle bell runs. I forgot about those. There was also the hot buttered rum one down south of you. I think it has passed... but it too looked fun.

mmm, tacos....

Got the first batch of magicbands for this patchwork quilt of reservations I have coming up.

I can totally relate to all of this. I almost always leave a social engagement kicking myself for all of the "dumb" things I said or did. Most of the time I feel like a 6 year old trying to keep up with the 10 year olds.

And my resting face looks "mad" too. I can't tell you how many times I've been lost in thought, just thinking about something totally neutral or mentally preparing for something that's coming up, and total strangers have said "Smile, it can't be that bad!" or (flashback issue here) my mom used to tell me to "Stop pouting!!!" She would get mad that when we were together, I didn't talk her ear off. But the truth is I'm an introvert, and getting away from my dad and brother meant I could finally be alone with my thoughts. So to then be beat up for "Pouting" was really not helpful. I wish people better understood introverts.

Molly I fear that when we meet we will both be too nervous to say anything! Maybe we need to meet outside the MK and summon up some "liquid courage" to prepare for conversation. :drinking::drinking1 Either way, I promise not to be offended by anything you say.

The good thing about having a foot permanently wedged in my mouth is that I tend to take less offense to comments than other people might. I have friends who read deep meaning into everything I say, and who speak very elusively and vaguely where you have to extract meaning and draw your own conclusions from whatever they are saying and it is exhausting being with them. I am a total face value person, there is no passive-aggressive secret meaning hidden beneath multiple layers of whatever I say.

So there you go.

I loved everything you said.

I grew up with a mom (and an aunt...though our relationship started more after my mom passed away so I didn't really "grow up" with her) with the "mean" resting face, so at least I had company. :)

Although I'm annoyed that it was Clair Danes (I was too old and too involved in grad school to care about My So Called Life) who started talking about this in public circles, I'm glad that people are actually recognizing that some people just have a face that does stuff, and that it's flat out rude to assume an expression means a feeling. It's like when people think people are glaring at them for some reason (nursing in public, scolding a naughty child (wow those are opposite things, LOL), being heavy, being extremely skinny, wearing crazy color combinations, whatever) and never even think that the person might not even SEE you, might not even know you exist, and might just be having unrelated thoughts or have a natural facial expression that isn't doing what they want it to do. :)

I"m glad it's getting out there that it's rude to say "smile" or "cheer up". Because I have grown tired of being pulled out of my bliss to explain to people that I *wasn't* angry but now I am, LOL. And I'm glad that I've stopped daydreaming of Botox to get rid of the frown line (aka "engagement wrinkle) that doesn't make it better. :)

Mmm, liquid courage... I bet we'll be just fine when we meet. I've noticed that people with things in common, like Disney or RUNNING, have instant conversation starters. Those are helpful. For me, while I am an introvert, where it really causes a problem is with *small talk*. If we can get into the real stuff quickly I'm good.

And speaking of real stuff, wow, Robert's plane got off the ground!!!! It was only the second Seattle-bound American Airlines flight that was able to leave in the last 24-36 hours so this is pretty cool. They had a bunch of people on the flight that had been stuck on the tarmac last night for 3 hours (before the flight was cancelled), so I bet those people are really glad to be en route!

2 cancellations and 2 rebookings (and upwards of 4 total hours on hold), we got Robert on a plane and he got back to his work trip. Ended up being only 6 hours later than he originally would have been back in Dallas. Lots of worry, lots of concern...but it all ended up OK. And he got to stay overnight here last night when he was originally going to be at LAX and then on a plane overnight, so that's nice. Despite the 3:30am wakeup call. :)

The dance performances were worth it, though, so YAY!

Hi Molly!

Flying in and out of SeaTac has to be tough especially with weather. This is an odd weather year. It is 46 warm degrees here. The last few mornings it has been 25 when Scotty has gone to work. Having lived in the bay area you know how odd that is.

Both of our trips are looming over us aren't they? Four weeks from now and we will be fighting the crowds in Disneyland.

Woohoo for the trips being so close! Especially yours; you SO deserve your wonderful trip!!!
