A few races and food, some theme parks and food, and a cruise...

I like the direct flight.

Today poor kiddo was having a hard time with Robert going on another trip (as well he should! but the job is what the job is right now), and while comforting there was another aspect of "remember that this job creates the airmiles that get us on these flights".

I think your flight leaves way too early (I have already forgotten????) but for the future...the manicure place is Butter:London in the secure part of SeaTac. They open at 6am and are in terminal/area 3, in case you have time/inclination. I'll be honest; it's a big reason I didn't go for the 6:30am connecting flight through San Diego, because I wouldn't have been able to do it. Their polishes are as non-toxic as a nail polish can be, which is nice.

They do full on pedicures, too. That's not my thing, but it was impressive to see how much work is put into a full pedicure!

I will keep that in mind... especially for flights like last months trip where I was all by myself. With the entire crew...or nearly all of them, it takes all I can do to keep everyone "tended" to so there is never time for myself.

And... I too have forgotten already what time my flight is.:rotfl: Well, I have an idea. In the 6 o'clock hour? So don't feel bad. ;)

Hi,
The doors lead into the crawl space. Scotty hates them. I see them as fun opportunities.

Oh I get it. Sometimes men get so dense and don't think. I am sending good thoughts your way.

Aha, well that's a fun thing to do with necessary teensy doors!

Thanks.

I'm picturing your family, suddenly noticing you've disappeared...then you showing up at the gate an hour later, with a shoulder massage from the massage bar next door, and newly done nails. ;)

My 1pm latte was NOT decaf. Aughhhhhhh.

Ugh! I had to stop all caffeine because it was all just keeping me up at night.

We might be switching to Pop for our trip, so we can use Magic Bands and so we can save some money. Looks like Dolphin guests can only make FP reservations the morning they enter the parks, and I'm concerned that everything will be gone by the time we arrive (we are not rope drop people) or that the ordering process will be chaos with long lines of people who don't understand what they are doing. Still undecided though. I was really looking forward to walking to 2 parks, but now with the FP thing... I don't know.

It has been announced that POP is no longer giving out the rfid KTTW, so if you're staying at POP (at least right now) you can't get "legacy" FPs. Who knows what the situation will be in January, but it's worth making sure you know!

I'm not letting it bother me. I'm having fun with the MBs and the FP+s and I'm trying to not think about what will be going on with testing tomorrow, let alone in January. :)

All I know is that we get in on the 4th and totally want to meet up with you guys before you go!

And then Ann should let me know where she'll be at a certain time so I can say hello and confuse her family. :goodvibes

That latte was NOT fun, by the way. Can't believe I forgot to order decaf. (wasn't their fault, was mine)

I want to decorate them. A Hobbit door and an Alice in Wonderland door. Scotty isn't a fan. Sigh.

I do know about the MB only thing at the Pop. I'm not too concerned, for one thing I don't know what a "Legacy" FP is (a paper FP?), and for another I feel like they will all be gone anyway by the time we get to the parks unless we can book our FP ahead of time. Having a few rides "reserved" will help me stop worry about checking FP return times to see if we should get one or wait. We can take chances on some rides. I just don't like the Dolphin's deal where you have to go to a person in the morning and reserve your rides *that day*. For one thing, we arrive around noon and want to hit a park. Well the FPes (what the heck is the plural of FP?) will be gone that day unless we plan ahead. We are probably doing DHS that day, and want to ride Star Tours and possibly Toy Story. No way we will get TS FP unless we plan ahead. Sigh. So I guess we are staying at Pop? Now I need to pull the trigger.

And hey, being at the same hotel should make it easier to meet up with you guys! I was telling S about you guys, and told her that she and E shared the same diaper covers. You should have seen the look on her face...

Well I'm a fan. Do it!

Legacy = paper, normal, old FPs. (FPs is how I do plural for it though it makes no sense now that I think about it)

I bet the look on her face matches the look on E's face when I've mentioned it! He has NO interest in anyone talking about him ever being diapered, even though he knows all kids (but those lucky elimination communication kids, LOL) were diapered for at least a year or so. :)

So we either talk a TON about diapers in front of them just to embarrass them, or we honor them as humans etc etc and don't talk about it. Decisions decisions....:p

I have a feeling that the FP+ system at the Dolphin would work out, but gosh, who wants to worry about it, right? And I agree, having the headliners booked in advance does seem to relax the touring. Interesting how few headliners there can be in a day, when you really are forced to think about it. As Disney fans, I think we're mainly just happy to be there, breathing the churro-scented air (though I doubt if any of the 5 in our two families CAN or will eat churros...well maybe your son, I think?). Maybe. :)

If you're changing to Pop, you'll be able to do your magic band stuff pretty much immediately. That's fun. Little accessories. The colors aren't as bright in person as they are on the site, FYI. The green is a little darker, etc. Ann mentioned the pink yesterday I believe.

:rotfl: Sounds like planning my escape!! Seriously though.. my dh would kill me if I left him with everyone. He gets so stressed out at airports.

And then Ann should let me know where she'll be at a certain time so I can say hello and confuse her family. :goodvibes

that would be fun! Seriously though... will will have to take a look at our schedules to see where we could fit in a quick

As for the mb and fp situation... :crazy2: I was on the phone an hour with disney a couple nights ago. One person said one thing...transferred me to another..and then to another. In the end... I am just hoping that my fast passes will be a way to vouch for my dh and the kids (I am the only one "eligible" to schedule for our entire trip. ) And I will have 3 bands! :faint: I have fait that some day it will be a smooth process, but for those of us going in 2014...it really isn't.

I have fait that some day it will be a smooth process, but for those of us going in 2014...it really isn't.

It really isn't. And I have the same feeling, that someday it will be really great.

I think what they are doing is trying to put their own website together with the other websites that have spreadsheets for trips, etc etc. Like they saw this opportunity that other people were doing and wanted to fill it. One stop.

But...it's not working. Yet. And they're doing it all wrong.

I was at the Y tonight and got to talking with one of the young men that I've known for 4 years, and now he's a sophomore in college, heading to the world of IT, and was going to apply for an internship in Seattle with Disney IT. I guess they have TONS of internships to fill in IT up here. And I was so excited to talk to him about it, because he really wanted ot know what they were doing and how they were doing it wrong. How they were impacting the guests. We had a good talk, and I bet when he interviews for that internship he'll have some interesting things to talk about! And he, a 2nd year student in pre-IT, can see that doing all of this LIVE on the site is a huge, huge mistake, and could have easily been done behind the scenes. And that it's nonsense to say "we didn' tknow how users would be using the website", not when they've got tons of metrics and history of where people click to go by! Nonsense. :)

Oh wow, look at this! You know how I've gone on (and on and on) about Disney's ridiculous error messages, and how they instill fear and terror because they say "you have no reservations" instead of "we can't access that information right now"? Look look!

Something's gone wrong behind the scenes! The information related to your Notifications is currently unavailable. We are working to make it available again as soon as possible. Please try again in a few minutes.

Awesome!

But seriously, someone at Disney should pay me. :goodvibes

I would love a behind the scenes job at Disney!

I wanted to share with you we are moving home earlier than originally thought. We are going to start moving home on Wednesday!!

Yay yay yay for moving home!

I've lost track; where have you been living these last many months? No matter where, it'll feel great to finally be in your HOME.:cheer2::thumbsup2:goodvibes

Thank you Molly. We have been in a house a few mikes from home but it just isn't the same.

Last weekend outside of your house, Michele!

***************

I'm spending time right now trying to modify FP+s again. I had already changed the 5th to MK and 6th to AK in hopes of matching up a bit better with Ms Drew here, but then I realized that i need to change the 4th around for Osborne Lights purposes. I was going to see about Epcot the evening we got in, but then that means on the 5th we have to run away from MK and go to DHS for the last night of the Lights, and I really don't think I'm going to have a car at that time, blah blah blah.

Long story short, this is the first time I'm really having arguments with the FP+ pages. The connection to the server really shouldn't reset while trying to reach the page, is all I'm trying to say here....

Now tossing Epcot into a spot where it wasn't supposed to be.... A pox on complicated trips! Bah!

I can hardly wait to go home. We have been in the house but actually staying in it will great! The newspaper reporter that did the article before about Loren asked to do a follow up article. So we will be speaking with her on Thursday morning during deliveries. They want a hopeful article for Thanks giving and ours is perfectly timed.

That's really neat, Michele!

Poor E has been sick all weekend and still. It's funny; digital thermometer in the ear shows normal or just barely over 99.9, but his hands or his back or his belly will be just burning hot. I started trying to read the temperature on those parts, LOL. He's going through something! Just not sure what. Poor kiddo.

Poor E. I hope he feels better. I am taking Loren to see the Dr today for a sore that doesn't look good to me under his arm. Scotty almost had to work on Thursday which is his regular day off. I was ready to go all wicked witch on his supervisor. The plant manager stepped in and he is getting the day off thank goodness.
