A few questions regarding DHS Shows

We definitely plan on doing Frozen sing along and Indiana Jones. I am kind of on the fence about the Beauty and the Beast and Little Mermaid shows. We are only planning one day for DHS and will want to do rides, too. We will be with 4 year old DD, who loves princesses. So, the question is, are either Beauty or Little Mermaid shows not to be missed? We will have other days with princesses at MK and Epcot. TIA!

Beauty and the Beast edges out Mermaid if you only have time for one. I wouldn't miss it! HS is such a great park for shows. it's not about the princesses, it's about the entertainment. Both are Broadway worthy shows, imho.

If you haven't seen the BATB show, you need to find a way. It's really good. The costumes are amazing!

Both are good, if you're doing a full day you'll have time to see them all

With 4 y.o. daughter - I'd skip Indiana Jones.

Beauty & Beast is covered outdoor seating; old-style Busby Berkeley musical production.

Little Mermaid is indoors and is the preference of my (now) 7 y.o. daughter over Beauty & Beast.

Beauty & the Beast is wonderful, classic Broadway style show: sit close and she will be totally engaged. (Not air conditioned, so time accordingly.) Little Mermaid is like a 3D movie come to life: she will like it, but be aware that it is dark, and the Ursula is gigantic, so you may want to sit back a few rows, so she is not overwhelming (depending on your child"s temperment. ) Indiana Jones....I dont have the patience for, and the part I saw was not to my liking. These are my thoughts. Have a great time!

We quit doing Indy years ago. For some reason I would skip Beauty while DW and DD would go. The last few trips I make it a point to see Beauty, I've come to appreciate it more and more. Heck, I've even done Mermaid a couple times too.

We like B&TB but often skip it due to how HOT that theatre is. LM doesn't take much time out of the schedule and the black light sequence at the beginning is super cool, IMO.

With a princess crazy 4yo, I'd hit B&TB at the earliest show and LM in the afternoon for a cool break. If you'll be at the studios for a full day, you'll have time for both plus rides.

If your DD can watch a Disney movie at the theater at regular volume, she will enjoy Mermaid. If she is timid like mine and scared of Ursula, skip it. There is a lot of puppetry but they are illuminated with a black light. The theater is very dark. The effects that make you feel "Under the sea" were pretty convincing for my kids. At 4 yo mine were too young.

Also, don't forget about Muppets and especially Disney Jr Live on Stage. At that age Disney Jr would edge out Indy for us.

Frozen and BTAB are not-to-be-missed for littles.

If you can only do one, I would recommend Beauty & the Beast. But, I would encourage you to try and find time for both.

Another vote for BaTB over LM, although LM takes up less time. Indy is a fairly cool show but with a DD4 I would pick Frozen, LM and BaTB over Indy if you find yourselves running short on time or unable to fit them all in
