I am going to be on 9-28-02 Magic and had a few questions if anyone can answer them for me...

1. Is Delta back at the terminal for when we get off the ship to
check our luggage in

2. Are the Disney mugs the same as Sept. of last year...we went
then and had 2 mugs and was wondering how that worked

3. I have found out that someone going on same cruise with me
has linked their reservation with mine and will be at my table
for dinner...what can I do when I get on the ship to be moved
from that table?

I know there were more questions, but I left questions at work. I will post again later, but this is a start....thanks so much...Colins Mom

As far as you dinner arrangements linked to someone else...I would call your TA or Disney (if you booked directly through them) and tell them that you do not want you dinner table seating arrangements changed to not be sitting with whoever you are currently linked to...I wouldn't wait until you get to the ship to do this.

as of May 11, 2002 there are no air lines at terminal and i dought there will be they all seem to be having a hard time of it and last thing they need to do is havemore staff..

I believe that Delta is back at the Terminal. I think they were among the last to re-instate off-site luggage check-in. I think they resumed this around May or so.

I do not know for sure, but its probably a pretty safe bet that the mugs will have changed in a year's time.

I also agree with prymsu, call (or have your TA call) and ask to have your reservation un-linked with the other party. If you do it now, they have plenty of time to adjust the dining reservations. Once everyone is on board, their options for moving people around the dining rooms are limited.

Yikes!

Someone linked their reservations to yours without your permission? I'd call your TA/DCL now to have it removed. I'd also reqest a different dining rotation from those people!

I've often wondered how linking worked, Seems to me that BOTH parties should have to agree before the linking happens. When we've linked with our friends, we've made sure that we BOTH e-mailed our TA (Dreams in our case. We love them!) with each other's confirmation number so that it was obvious that we both wanted it. Just assumed that we'd have to do that!

Freaky!

Just pulled out my "Welcome Home" from May 11, 2002.

It says guestson the following domestic flights will be able to check their bags at the DCL terminal.

American......Continental.......Northwest.......US Airways

With US Airways in bankruptcy and American's recent lay offs, if you are on those 2 carriers, It may have changed.

Delta IS back at the port and accepting bags.

The soda mug program is exactly the same as last year.

And DO call DCL or your TA NOW and have your reservations "unlinked" if you do not want to eat with the family that linked their reservation to yours, and they will take care of it. Don't wait until you get on the ship.

Enjoy your cruise! :)

We don't drink sodas, but I'm curious about how this program works. Unless the mug is changed for every cruise, how can DCL make sure it's not reused on multiple cruises (either by the same family or multiple families)? Is there a date stamp on the mug somewhere?
