A few questions...about SSR & room request

I have been a member since 2006. I have never made a room request at a DVC location and really didn't know that we could. I do understand what we request is just that and not guranteed. How do I go about making one and when? What is the proper etiquette? I am going on a trip at SSR (our home resort) in Dec. We will have a car. Previous times we have been right by the front entrance (2x) and once by the side entrance. Can anyone recommend a good studio location?

Personally, I love Congress Park for the view of DTD. Although not all Congress Park villas have a DTD view. I always request it at the time of making the ressie, then call a few days before I leave to confirm and gently reiterate the request. If they can honor it, they will. Have a blast!

I would request one or two areas such as Congress Park or the Grandstand for example. It's done through MS and can be added at any time but preferably at least a couple of weeks before your trip so the resort will have the info when they start planning their assignments. You can call or email MS if you need to and have any requests added to any current reservation.
