Me and my fiancee are considering going to DC in 2014 however before we book we would be grateful if we could have some of our concerns answered.

1) As I am a non swimmer and my fiancee is a poor swimmer would we be able to do the Dolphin swim?
2) If only my fiancee did the Dolphin Swim would I be able to watch her do it and also pet the dolphins?
3)Is parking the same price as other parks?
4) what is closing time?

Thank you so much for your help

You don't swim very far to go out to swim with the dolphins. They allow 6 year olds to do the Dolphin swim.

You can watch without paying for the Dolphin Swim portion, but then you can't interact with the dolphins. If you pay, you can interact with the dolphins and don't have to swim.

3)Is parking the same price as other parks?
You don't pay to park.

4) what is closing time?
I believe it was 5:30 when we went Thanksgiving week. I know it was early enough that we spent the rest of the night at Sea World - 7 days' admission included with the purchase

Hope this helped

one of our party didnt swim with the dolphin, however at the end they allowed them to come in for a family picture with the dolphin and he got to pet it. Just mention to the trainer you would like a family picture and they will arrange it for you. have a great time

You do not need to know how to swim to do the dolphin swim, or any other activity at DC -- just wear a life vest and it totally kerps you afloat.
We went this fall. I'm not a swimmer. I wore the life vest and I was able to go anywhere, and do everything. I didn't need it on at all times either.
During the dolphin swim, they require you to wear one any ways whether you swim or not.

My husband is a non-swimmer and has done the dolphin experience twice. The only difference for him is the "ride the dolphin" part only goes in shallow water for him instead of the deeper water.

The rest of the day, he wore a life jacket (there were plenty of adults wearing life jackets), so he could snorkel in the deeper parts of the Grand Reef (where there are more fish) and enjoy the lazy river.

When we went years ago, I think I remember they had noodles or some type of floaty thing to use in the lazy river. Do they still have those or do you just use the life jacket if you aren't a great swimmer?

There were noodles available on both our January and August 2012 visits :thumbsup2 .

Do you know if you need to wear a wet suit for Seaventure or can I just wear the vest and my own shorts?:hourglass

You have to wear a wet suit on the sea venture. When we did it last year they sent a couple people off to get them.
