A few planning questions

I am finally trying to get a rough plan of our days and a few questions are popping up:

1. I know there is a gateway from the Beach Club to Epcot World Showcase. However, how long is the walk from the Beach Club to the monorail station at Epcot? I am trying to determine if we can use this as transportation.

2. If you have an early character breakfast before the park opens, how do you get in and also not p**s off all the people waiting to get into the park as you try to get past them?

Thanks.

there are now character breakfast check in lines.

so just go get in that line.

don't think the International gateway had one - but not a problem there - most of the time.

as how far it is - well you walk about 1/2 size of SW and then the entire FW.

it takes me around 20 minutes sometimes longer - depends how many people I need to avoid. a younger couple could definitely do it faster. oh that is to the monrail - not up that thing - add 5 minutes for that - so 25 minutes.

the MK bus is generally the best method to get to the MK.

If you plan on using this as a means of transportation, you must have park hopper passes since you will need to use your ticket to enter Epcot to get to the monorail station. Without a park hopper pass, the only park you could go to that day would then be Epcot. Taking the bus from the resort to the other parks will be faster than walking through Epcot.

Just be aware that if you want to pick up the monorail at Epcot to get to MK, you are going to have to enter Epcot itself..not a problem if you have a park hopper or AP but if you have a non-hopping pass, you won't be able to get into MK that day because you've already entered Epcot.
The walk from BC to the International Gateway is about 8 mins, then it's another 20+ to the entrance of Epcot and the monorail line. Add in a bit of a wait for the monorail to come (from immediate to up to 20 mins), and then the 15 min ride to MK.
If you are heading to MK, I would just take the bus. The buses start running very early in the morning in order to get the guests to their early morning ADRs. When you get to the park, just go to the left...that's usually where you will find a CM with a clipboard. Give them your name and they should have it on their list and you then go into the park.

You know...it's one of those wonderful thoughts you have while you are obessing over your Disney trip while trying to fall asleep..."what if we walk over to Epcot and take the monorail...?". To where, I have no idea, I don't really know what I was thinking LOL. I think I was thinking I want to have breakfast at Boatwright's one morning and I was trying to figure out how we would get there from the Beach Club...don't know how the monorail entered the picture. :)

I need more caffeine...reminder to self have two cups of coffee in the morning before posting questions on disboards.

I have actually timed the walk from BC to Epcot monorail. It's at least 30 minutes (more when I had a stroller.) I am in fairly good shape and usually walk in "commando mode". It just takes a while to enter and exit Epcot in addition to the distance.

that one is easy - take the boat (or walk - walking is faster but from the BC - long walk) - to Studios - then go get on the bus going back to POR. no park passes needed.
