First of all, sorry for no pictures! We just kept leaving our camera in the dumbest places or in the case of Le Cellier, out of battery power. Next trip we'll be sure to use duct tape and strap the camera to our foreheads so we can't forget to bring it with us again

Notable places we ate at during our trip (had to cancel DDP at the last minute for various reasons or we'd have had more TS meals):
Tutto Italia (Lunch)
Beaches and Cream (Lunch)
Wolfgang Puck Express (Dinner)
Le Cellier (Lunch) - somewhat of a miracle, story below!

First off, Tutto Italia:
For some reason right after we entered the restaurant something hit me and I began to feel very ill (nausea, loss of appetite, chills, etc.). Because of this I wasn't able to enjoy this meal very much and I was looking foward to it the most out of all the places we had planned to eat due to all the good reviews. Shortly after we were seated we requested to be moved outside as I thought the fresh air would help me feel better (it did) and it was in the mid-high 70s so it was very nice out. Service was very nice and they had no problems moving us outside and the manager even got me some fresh fruit to help me feel a bit better.

DMom ordered the Asparagi, Mash e Fave con Pecorino Tartufato (asparagus, arugula, curly endive and fava bean salad with truffled pecorino cheese)
She enjoyed this for the most part but she said that some bites were much saltier than others but she didn't really elaborate on why she thought so. Sorry for lack of details!

I had originally been looking foward to the Bucatini Gratinati but it didn't seem to be on the menu so instead I ordered the Farfalle which was practically the same thing (from what I could tell, Farfalle pasta with parmesan cream sauce, peas, and prosciutto) but with a different type of pasta. As I was still feeling sick I didn't eat much but from what I could tell it was alright, decent flavor but the sauce was kind of watery. Another difference between this and the other dish is that this was on a plate with the sauce poured over it instead of in a shallow bowl with cheese melted over the top which could've made a big difference.

Overall I didn't enjoy Tutto nearly as much as I thought I was going to and I owe a lot of it to the random sickness (thankfully it passed within an hour or 2 of us leaving). On our next trip we'll definitely try it again and hope I don't get sick!

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Beaches and Cream:
In the morning we went to Hollywood Studios early to see what the "American Idol Experience Party" was all about after a CM told us to get there by 8:30 and then later at 4:30. When we got to the park we got to see David Cook perform 3 songs and answer some questions for the press. After that we did some attractions and took the boat over to Beach Club to eat at Beaches and Cream (since HS food is somewhat...lacking:sick:). Aside from our drinks taking ages to get to us service was alright, nothing special.

DDad ordered the Roast Beef Sub with Onion Rings. He thought it was pretty good although he used to live near Philadelphia and it couldn't stand up to some of the cheesesteaks he had up there (of course this was Roast Beef and not quite a cheesesteak). On the other hand he said that the onion rings were possibly the best he had ever had in his life, not too much breading and a LOT of onion.

DMom ordered a Hot Dog also with Onion Rings. It was a pretty big hot dog but it was just a hot dog, nothing incredible about it. She also loved the onion rings.

I ordered a Cheeseburger (with fries) as I had heard the ones here were pretty good and I hadn't had a good burger all week. Definitely better than the one I had at the Mara 2 days earlier although it just couldn't stand up to my favorite (Pressed Burger at Cheeseburger in Paradise). The fries were pretty good, nice and crispy.

Overall we enjoyed our meal here but we're still curious to why it took so long to get 2 waters and an iced tea (10+ minutes most likely although the place was packed). We'll definitely come back if we're at HS and lack an ADR somewhere, we've had too many bad encounters with the CS there.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Wolfgang Puck Express:
WPE had been a hit on our last trip (we ate there twice) so we were looking foward to going back. The only downside to WPE is that there are so many completely different things on the menu (and all of them sound so good) and it makes it very hard to choose what to order:goodvibes.

DDad ordered the BBQ Chicken Quesadilla (Flour tortillas filled with mozzarella and cheddar cheeses, red onions, fresh cilantro, Ranch dressing, BBQ sauce and pico de gallo) which he claimed was very good but didn't really comment on it. He ate the entire thing so that was a good sign at least. I had been thinking of ordering this but I ended up passing to order my favorite.

DMom ordered the Chinois Chicken Salad (roasted all natural chicken breast, fresh Asian vegetables and cripsy wontons, dressed with Honey Mustard) which she enjoyed a lot more than the salad at Tutto earlier in the week. She loved everything about it and the serving was pretty big so she ended up taking some back to the resort.

As I said above, I passed on the Quesadilla to order my favorite...the Four Cheese Macaroni (mozzarella, fontina, cheddar and Gorgonzola cheeses with fresh artisan elbow macaroni, baked until bubbly and golden brown! :woohoo: This is by far my favorite macaroni I've ever had and it was much better than the Farfalle I had at Tutto earlier in the week. Everything about it is perfect, the only downside is that I'm pretty sure its extremely fattening but thankfully its pretty filling so I couldn't quite finish it.

Still one of our favorites, we've had good food every time we've eaten here. Very reasonable prices and big portions of delicious, fresh food. There's no way we'll pass up eating here again!

Loving your review...all I can say, I only eat what I can pronounce:) so I am not adventureous....

Very sorry for the delay!
A combination of internet outages, the flu, and just being busy in general caused me to somewhat forget about finishing this up

Now for...
The *miracle* Le Cellier Lunch:

First of all, let me explain the miracle part. We had originally had reservations at The Wave for Friday but I really didn't want to go all the way to the Contemporary (we weren't planning on going to MK that day) so I decided to run up to the concierge desk at 9:50 (they close at 10). I ask if there's any chance of a cancellation for lunch or dinner at Le Cellier the next day and the one woman working up there chuckled a bit and told me how people had been asking about it for weeks with no luck. Turns out there was a reservation for lunch at 12:00 the next day which I happily took and cancelled The Wave so we could go see what all the hype was about.

Once we were seated we were greeted by our server, Alyssa (from British Columbia if I remember correctly) who was very friendly and one of the best servers we had ever had! My friend from Saskatchewan had sent me a picture of her car buried under snow that day so I decided to show it to her server and ask where she rather be which she found it pretty funny (and gave the obvious answer, Disney) but she was going back to Canada for a week or 2 sometime in the Spring and was hoping it wouldn't be like that back home:eek: "Oh, but what about the PRETZEL BREAD!?", you ask? We loved it! Definitely better than any pretzel we had ever had although we wish we would've ordered some cheese soup to dip it in, we decided to pass for some reason that I honestly can't remember

DMom decided to order the Grilled Steak Burger (w/ Black Diamond Cheedar Cheese and Homemade Onion Ketchup) as she had skipped breakfast and therefore was several hunger levels above only wanting a measly salad, she wanted food! Thankfully, the burger was quite large, quite a bit more than she could handle even at this point of intense hunger (she blamed the bread!). Overall she said it was pretty good although she had a hard time comparing it against the Mini-Cheeseburgers from Cheeseburger in Paradise, its a tough call since they're tiny and much more fun to eat (although Le Cellier's burger definitely wins for taste). She also had the potato salad which she ended up loving since they used spicy mustard in it (her favorite)!

I had already had too many burgers that week so I went for the Grilled Maple BBQ Chicken Sandwich (w/ Black Diamond Cheddar Cheese and Pancetta). First observation: this sandwich was a bit messy. Second observation: this sandwich was delicious! I honestly kept trying to find a downside about it (it was challenging) and all I could come up with is how it was somewhat hard to eat towards the end but it was definitely worth it! I wasn't too sure I was going to like the sauce since I'm not too crazy about maple but they found a perfect mix of ingredients because I'm very tempted to make some of this for use at home (although it doesn't seem like it'll be too easy:sad1:). Oh yeah, the fries were fresh and crispy, no complaints here.

I decided I wanted dessert but I couldn't really decide on what to get (I lost a few options due to my nut allergies) and asked our server about the sorbet of the month which was a pumpkin sorbet and she claimed it tasted a lot like pumpkin pie. I like pumpkin pie but I wasn't too sure if I wanted to spend $6.50 on some odd-tasting cold pumpkin dessert (Mom was too full at this point for anything else) but Alyssa has an idea...she'd let me have a sample of it! She quickly returned with a little scoop of the sorbet which indeed tasted quite a bit like pumpkin pie but I wasn't too sure about the texture but I was happy that I got to try it and thanked her for the sample (I've never had a server do that before, it was very nice of her).

Overall this was my favorite meal of the trip and I believe Le Cellier lives up to at least some of the hype. Next time I'll have to plan ahead a bit more and get a reservation that doesn't require insane luck and running around AKL at 9:50 when you have blisters on your feet. :goodvibes

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

That's about all, once again sorry for the delay and sorry for no pictures. We may be going back for a long weekend in May to take advantage of our Seasonal passes 1 more time and I'll be sure to get some food porn for the boards on that trip!

Thanks for reading!
