I have a call into DVC, and I am waiting on a call back since no guide was available to help me at the time. I have been waiting 7 days on a call back. I called yesterday to see what was going on and the first person you talk to said that my guide was on a day off and that everyone else was out on tours. She would see if she could bump me up on his call back list as they were extremely busy and would hopefully here something next week. Maybe some of you can answer my questions here.

1 what besides the 10 off a point are they offering on the presale at SSR?

2 What are other benefits of being DVC memebers? (such as cash ressie discounts, pass discounts ect.)

3 what is the complimentary vacation they are offering as part of the special?

Questions #1 and #3 have the same answer.

There are currently two incentives offered for SSR presales.

The first is a simple discount of $10 per point (not MB) for purchases of 100 points or more. You will still get all of your first years points to use. SSR owners may make reservations at SSR beginning Dec. 1, 2003. Owners at other resorts may make reservations at SSR beginning on February 4, 2004. Points at SSR are not available for Use Years earlier than Dec, 2003. No SSR points may be used at any resort for a date earlier than May 1, 2004.

The second incentive is an offer of "Developer Points" which may be used for reservations within DVC, onsite Disney Collection resorts and II exchanges prior to April 30, 2004. The number of points offered varies by the size of the SSR contract purchased. 150-210 points provides up to 100 Developer Points (DP). 211-261= 160DP. 262-312=200DP. 313-363=250DP. 364-414=300DP. 415-465=350DP. (I'm not sure what is offered for more than 465 SSR points!)

These 2 options are either/or you can't get both unless you have purhcased enough points to use one incentive for a portion of the points (minimm of 100) and the remainder for the second (minimum of 150).

As for other benefits, there are many discounts available at selected WDW restaurants, recreational activities, a 10% discount at The Disney Store (some purchases are excluded), discounted admissions available at PI and WDW Water Parks and a 10% discount on Ultimate Park Hopper Passes.

Any/all of the discounts can be changed, so I don't view them as an integral component of DVC ownership- just a nice extra. The real benefit for me is the flexibility offered for great accommodations in the DVC resorts.
