A few last minute questions

I have a few more last minute questions before I leave. If anyone can help that would be great.

1) Can I ask to sit in a specific row on rides? In the US parks the cast members don't mind if you ask politely to sit in the front/back row etc. Is this the case in DLP too? If so, how would I ask to sit in the front row for Space Mountain? (Can someone tell me what to ask the cast member in French?)

2) Are you allowed to take bags onto the rides and hold them? or do they make you leave them on the side?

3) What store sells the 2008 DLP calendar? I saw a picture of it online but don't know which store it's in.

Thanks!!! 4 more days until my flight. :)

don't know if i can help much but i do know that the 2008 calendar is available in most of the shops on main street as we bought ours in june of this year i think there were a few to choose from.

some rides you can take bags on ie the gentler ones but i am not sure for the likes of space mission 2

and again for specific seats i think it just ddepends on the CM that you speak to we asked politely in english on big thunder mountain POTC etc and they usually obliged

I've taken a medium size bag on Space Mountain, and I've never noticed people having to leave bags on the side. I'm afraid I couldn't tell you the correct french phrase to secure a front row seat on SM - I've never needed, or wanted, to know it myself!!

The calendar will also be available in the hotel shops, so, in other words, everywhere!!

Thanks for the info! That helps a lot.

That's cool that there is more than one version of the calendar. Now I'll have a chioce :)

I'm glad they don't make you leave your things unattended. I've always been able to hold onto them on rides but some parks (not Disney) won't allow it. Then I end up worrying that someone will pick up my bag while I'm on the ride.

I would have thought it would be a security risk if people did leave bags etc to one side

yep, they never mind when you ask to sit in a specific place...though to be honest we never ask in french! most of the CMs know what you mean when you point and ask 'is it ok?'

and yes i have been known to take my handbag and 3 carrier bags on SM & rnr and indy, never a problem.

Whereever i sit on SM its always the same as ive rode 3 times and never yet opened my eyes !:rotfl2: the ride lasts approx 1min 20 secs as thats how long i hold my breath:rotfl2: Im sure if you REALLY!!! want a front seat they will understand rather you than me (im such a wus)

When Dh and I were on honeymoon in Ca (a Looooooooong time ago:lmao: ) we ended up in the front row of SM by chance - and I nearly divorced him. I screamed all the way and felt terrible for half an hour after! (He told me it was like Peter Pan:rotfl2: )

The park where I had to do this had little shelves off to one side to put bags on so they weren't really near the track where they could fall in or be stepped on.

That's good because if I tried it in French I would probably pronounce it wrong and so they would just look at me strangely.

Haa haa! I love the front row of rollercoasters. I'll gladly take your spot :)
