So this will be our first Christmas week trip, we usually go in the summer. It will also be our first trip with Magic Bands and FP+ because last summer WL was not part of the testing phase.
I'm looking for a critique of my overall plans. We are a family of five.....children are adults (28, 23, 20). Staying at the BC, Dec. 23-Jan 1. We love the rides, but we are also looking to experience this time of year at WDW. We just want to have fun. We are not nappers and during the summer we did RD, break for swim or something non-park, dinner, back to park for entertainment (but not always). We do not stay late nights (usually back in room by 9-10 pm).
So here goes....
Arrival day - arriving early afternoon. Check in. Explore a bit. No park. Dinner early (5:30) DTD
Christmas Eve RD AK. Leave around 4. Hoop De Doo
Christmas Day RD DHS.
Dec. 26 RD EPCOT. Hoping for Candlelight Processional Early show.
Dec. 27. RD MK Leaving around 6 pm for Illuminations Cruise
Each day RD a different park using easy's recommended parks. (AK, DHS, EP, MK). Upgraded free dining to DxDDP and we have lunch and dinner ADR's for each of those days. We plan on taking lunch slow, hoping 2 hours. On these days we will not be leaving the park and returning. Once we leave, we have non park things scheduled. We plan on scheduling FP+ for after lunch.
Dec. 28 Another RD planned for those that want. Plans to watch NY Jets game. Then on to DTD.
Dec. 29, 30. Again we used easy's recommended parks. But for these two days, we have breakfast ADRs. I plan on using FP+ in the afternoon and then either staying (29th we have the dessert party) or leaving for DTD.
Dec. 31 Open morning for relaxing. Cirque show DTD dinner
Jan 1 We are leaving late today. We'll do lunch and wing the rest.
Any thoughts?
