Okay..I have the ADRs all made. :thumbsup2
Now, I need to figure out how to get where we need to be seeing as most maps of the parks don't have restaurants listed on them. (at least that i have seen?? and I am a newbie...)
So I am hoping that some DISers will be able to give me an idea of where I should be heading ahead of time.

First ADR is a 7am at Chef Mickey's. The plan so far is to take a cab and leave our resort (CBR) with plenty of time to make breakfast. I'm thinking an hour. More? Less?

The second ADR I am wondering about is for Tusker House breakfast at 8am. Which area of AK is the restaurant located?? Now this ADR happens to be on an EMH day for AK so would we be able to take the Disney bus from the resort to the park and have enough time to make res? Or should we cab it that day as well?

And lastly, how much time do you suggest allowing for the character meals? I believe they both are buffets, and with early ADRs I would think the wait time would be minimal. An hour? 90 min? Any help is appreciated! TIA!

By taking a cab from CBR over to Chef Mickey's I don't believe you'll need to allow an hour to get there, if I'm reading your question correctly. Using a Disney bus to the MK and then transfering to the monorail or walking - yes, an hour would be good - but a cab will be able to drop you off at the Contemporary directly, so you should be fine with a 1/2 hour for transportation time.

Tusker House is located in the Harambe Village or Africa section of AK... as you are walking into Harambe, crossing the bridge, it'll be on your left side, before you get to KS.

Character meals typically take about an hour, if you want to see each character individually at your table - sometimes less if you are seated closer to where they "start" their circle of the room - sometimes a bit more.

okay, so maybe a half hour to take a cab to CM for 7am res. Not like we won't be up wicked early anyway...lol It'll be worse than waiting for Christmas Day I'm sure.

Tusker House is in Africa and at least an hour for characters.
Thanks for the input! Much appreciated!

The cab ride is probably 10 minutes or 15 at best, and at 6:30 am there will be no traffic. Cabs are usually waiting right outside your hotel door. We took one last week, from BC to the front of Epcot. I wallked out the door, bellman hailed a cab and we stepped right in. 8 minutes, $10.30. Half hour is plenty then you can walk around.

There are no cabs "waiting outside your door" at CBR. Please arrange for your taxi with bell services the night before. They will come to the circle in the parking lot closest to your bldg.

We loved both CBR and breakfast at Chef Mickey's. Have a magical time!

No worries; that's the cool thing about these boards: someone always has a little more experience than you and eventually we get our info. CBR is a spread out resort so once you check in you may never return to the main house again.

for all the additional info! The boards do help a plan-a-holic like myself!
