So we just cane back from our vacation today and we booked the BoG breakfast for 8am in hopes of getting in line for A&E. staying offsite we weren't able to secure fp for them. One suggestion, be early! Hoping to avoid the ttc we went to the contemporary resort to valet and walk over. It was not allowed. Wasted a bunch of time for nothing. After parking and getting on the monorail, the thing got stuck for 15 minutes. After checking in we arrived to BoG @7:57,and even after preordering (they didn't have seperate lines) we were 15 parties deep in the line because everyone with later reservations also gets in early. food took a little bit, but we ate in 15 minutes and walked out of BoG @8:49. The RD crowd was already waiting at the carousel and began to walk around it. We stayed to walk in front of everyone and cast members were telling us and everyone else to get behind the rope. We blended in and we're 9th to meet them, but if you are eating at BoG, be prepared to finish breakfast early and wait outside the bridge.

so how was the meet and greet did your feel rushed? etc.

Got any cute pics?

The meet and greet is what the kids make out of it. We were there with a family that "needed" to see them. My kids aren't frozen fanatics. With that being said elsa is more reserved and anna is very talkative, but both were good with the kids and we didn't feel rushed at all.

sounds like they had a great time.

About a month ago some guest where reporting feeling rushed and unhappy with their meet and greet. @ A&E.

Not sure of it was because they were young, but every character (they meet a lot) was really nice. The only issue we had was that talking mickey only paid attention to 1 of the 4 kids in our group, but that was more or less the cast members not understanding we wanted to go in as two seperate groups

So they make you go back and get behind the rope with the RD crowd, or is there a different spot that you wait because you're already in the park? I'm not sure if I understand you.
As long as we are early will we be able to be in front of the crowd? I am using this exact strategy for the same reason. We may switch to 7dMT instead because we A&E FP on an earlier MK day. But if my granddaughter really likes it the first time, then we may do A&E again.

So here is how our adventure exactly went down. I took my son out of the restaurant and past the bridge around 8:47. my wife and the other couple came out two or the minutes after us. I wasnt sure of the whole process so i walked over to A&E and asked when the line starts. The cast member pointed to the left just as the rope drop crowd started to walk around the carousel and said "get in line with these people". the RD crowd literally started walking around when i asked that. As i rounded the carousel, my group came out of the BoG bridge and i stayed directing them to just keep walking to A&E. There were roughly 3 or 4 cat members in front of A&E telling them and a few others to "get behind the rope" i guess not realizing they were at be our guest. They merge into the front of the line and i just moved up the line to them. I would Definately make sure you are done with breakfast, leave your stroller at the restaurant and wait by the bridge to see when the RD group is"released" and walk directly in front of them if you don't want cat members to give you trouble

What did they say was the reason for this? It's the first time I've heard of that happening outside of extremely peak times like Christmas. Have they changed the policy? We were hoping to take advantage of this for my disabled mother on an upcoming trip.

It stinks that we had to rush our breakfast, but the wait was a bit because they let people in that have later reservations to fill the place up So or food took much longer than expected

We asked if we can use valet to check out the hotel to see if we want to stay there and they said no. It's for guests of the hotel and breakfast reservations and there was no room. After reading all these blogs i thought it would be no problem but i got barney fife who was a jerk about it

Am I understanding this correctly? You wanted to park at a resort in order to go to the park? Are we talking about just staying for BoG and then A&E and then leaving, or are we talking all day here?

All disney blogs have said you can valet at contemporary and walk to the parks (even as an offsite guest, which we were) and valet would be good through the whole day. The day after it was okay because i had chef mickey reservations, but not the day that i didn't have reservations.

This is weird, it's definitely contrary to all other experience. Either they have a new policy or you just had a CM who didn't know or didn't care to enforce the rules.

This will be a new Experience for me so I apprciate your experience and help! Can you clarify what you mean the RD people walk around the carousel and you blended in?? What are the CM trying to do regarding the crowd? How is it supposed to work with BOG People ( we have BOG reservations and hope to get in A&E line) vs. the RP crowd all heading to A&E?

Well, crud! We were planning to valet at the Contemporary and walk over tomorrow am. Wondering whether we should give it a shot and hope you just got a bad parking attendant, or not waste the time and park at MK...

I saw A+E once at 7am rope drop last week and once again at 1.45am during late night EMH. (I was solo...) For the 7am experience I felt that Elsa was a bit rushed - basically she just took a photo with me and moved me on to Anna, though Anna was great and talked to me for a bit. There was quite a lot of people in line behind me though! (Whereas the late night EMH experience was really different as it was almost empty, and didn't feel rushed at all!)

Doesn't hurt to try, but give yourself 15 minutes extra for the lap around the MK. maybe you can think of something better than us. Our you could have a better parking attendent. Good luck

There was no physical rope circling the carousel, but cast members were walking in front of people and they thought the bog people were"moving around" them. Most of them ignored their attempts to correct them and still walked in front of them. In hindsight, i would do the same after paying almost $180 for a breakfast for 7 people.
