have any of you vacuumed enough (daily, maybe) that you've actually not picked up any of the gray fuzz? I'm wondering if there's a time when my carpets will actually be clean enough (I don't have animals) that I won't be picking up any noticeable gray stuff....

I have 2 cats and vaccuum at least once a day. All I can say is that I am always amazed at how much crud gets sucked up. I feel like I must have been living in filth before I got my Dyson.

I ordered one with the Kohls coupon and it is being delivered today. :cool1: We have 2 boys and a dog so I really am curious what I am going to vacuum up!

I got a DC14/Full Kit Dyson(came with a mini-turbine head also) at Costco and am *very* pleased. I think I've taken about ten cats worth of hair out of here since I started using it about two weeks ago, plus the amount of fine dirt it picked up is incredible. I also like the bagless feature - no more running out of bags for me!

My last vacuum cleaner was a Kemore canister that my DSis was getting rid of a loooooong tim ago and it was avocado green. That thing *died* a while back (longer ago that I are to admit in a public forum), so I've actually enjoyed getting the floors cleaned-up around here. Don't know how long this phase will last (housework is not my thing at all), but I actually think I'll continue using my Dyson on a regular basis.

agnes!

still curious to see if anyone has gotten their carpets completely clean so that their Dyson picke up no gray matter....surely that will happen eventually (I have no animals) won't it??

*************I do not have a Dyson*************

But, I have a bagless vaccum which I think is similar to a Dyson. We got this vaccum when be moved to our new house (brand new--meaning new carpets)4 years ago. I still am picking up the fine gray carepet fibers each time I vaccum--and a lot of them. We do not have any pet either. So do not expect them to stop showing up anytime soon.

ck mommy---

Is your carpet gray? Or are those gray fibers something down in the carpet that's being picked up? I figured the gray I was picking up (our carpet is beige) was dust--not fibers.... :confused3

I have been using Dyson w/ball daily since December and just last week and I still get some gray stuff most of the time. My house is very dusty though. Dh has bad allergies and just the vaccum alone has helped him a lot.

Can't answer your question. I just wanted to say that we got a Dyson about 3 weeks ago and I absolutely love it. Actually, my husband insisted on a Dyson, I didn't want to pay the price. We really did get a good price because we used a 20% off coupon at Bed, Bath and Beyond so it saved us $100. Well, I haven't even turned it on. My husband is so intrigued with his purchase that he has been doing ALL of the vacuuming. Boy, I LOVE this Dyson!!!

I have owned my Dyson for over 2 years. I vacuume daily and still get the gray stuff ( I think its dust)

Its gross to think its even there.
