A Dream of a Dream

Hi Lessa!! Just wanted you to know I'm here!! I finished your TR and am caught up here on your PTR!! WTG on the 4.0!!! And I wish you the best on your weight loss journey!! Sooo excited to read about your upcoming cruises!!

Hey there! Thanks, the 4.0 felt great to get even though this year felt like it was the difficulty level of high school. I can't wait to get into the really hard core Nursing classes in the Fall. :woohoo:

Thanks for the shout out, Lessa! :goodvibes

There is someone in my running group on the W.I.S.H. board who just did the 5K at Castaway. :thumbsup2 I think that's an awesome goal for yourself and one you can definitely do! :woohoo:

I figured a 5K was a manageable goal, hopefully in just over a year's time it will be a piece of cake for me to run a 5K. :thumbsup2

Can't wait to hear your story!! When I ran out of the haunted house, crying, there was a little girl that was begging her dad to go in. But she didn't want to after seeing me :rotfl:

:lmao:

Welcome home, Lessa!!! Sounds like you had a great time!! 1,000 pix tells me so anyway :)

I;m waiting for the funny story!!!

All in due time ;)

 I think the only time the camera left my hand was when I was sleeping and even then I made sure it was right next to me on the table. Niagara Falls had some beautiful parks in addition to the Falls. I went crazy with the camera, I pretty much took pictures of EVERYTHING.

Looking forward to seeing the pics and hearing the story.

I woke up the morning of the trip with a horrible pain in my back. I must have pinched a nerve or pulled a muscle in my sleep as I couldn't turn my head without being in pain. I sucked it up and got ready to head into school to write my last final, Physics. It was ridiculous how easy it was and I was done in 15 minutes.

It was off home to pack, it took me forever! We didn't hit the road until nearly noon.

Going on the trip were my friends Kyah and Brittany. Two of our other friends, Erin and Erika, were originally go on the trip but they couldn't due to jobs/finances. Since they couldn't come I suggested that we bring flat versions of them!

We arrived in Niagara Falls around 4:30 after dropping Erika off at her home in Burlington.

We had booked a City View room at the Sheraton on the Falls through Expedia. They had an excellent sale going on and we got the room for $70 a night.

There was no line at check-in but the girl who checked us in was a real snot. She was not friendly at all. I had put in a request for a room on a high floor to make sure we didn't have any noise from traffic since we had that city view. Well we got our request and got a room on floor 22, the very top floor!

We parked the car in the Casino parking garage and then made our way to our room. Our hotel was part of a complex that joins three hotels, the casino and an indoor waterpark. So we were able to get to our room without once stepping outside.

I was very pleased with the room, it was very spacious and comfortable.

After settling into our room we decided that it was about time that we go down and get our first look at the Falls.

The hotel offered free internet in the lobby for hotel guests.

In front of the hotel was a beautiful park. We decided to walk through while making our way down to the Falls.

The buildings in the background are in the US Niagara Falls. You can cross the border by driving or walking across the bridge. Very nice if you want to go and see the American side of the Falls.

It is really beautiful there. The hotel/tourist areas are separated from the falls by a beautiful stretch of parks and gardens. I loved how the hotels weren't built right up against the falls.

I only have very vague memories of going there as a small child! but WOW!! they are amazing! And score on your hotel view! Suh-weet!

Must have been relaxing walking through the tulips and gardens. Hope your neck was feeling better by then. :goodvibes

The falls are amazing, so beautiful! Walking through the parks was wonderful. I woke up early every morning and since my friends were still sound asleep, snoring away, I would go out for walks along on the falls and through the gardens. It was very peaceful and I got some great pictures.

Unfortunately the neck/back only got worse. :sad2:

very cool cant wait for more, i was there when i was very little, want to go back now that im older.

Lessa if you look really closely you may see me waving:rotfl2: I sooo agree the Falls are inspiring !!!I don't go down there very often but we do drive around Goat Island a lot and the river going under the bridge ther is gorgeous !! Three Sisters Island on the US size is a huge favorite of mine !! Caution to any one visiting NEVER underestimate the danger of the Niagara River !! You are lucky to live in such a beautiful place Rosie.

Clifton Hill can definitely get expensive.

I love Niagara Falls, no matter how many times I've been. I've probably been about....30+ times now!

Being from a Chinese family, any time friends or relatives from China or Hong Kong come to visit, we take them to the falls.

My siblings and Chinese friends are already sick of it, but I still love going.

hmm a romantic weekend there, sounds kinda nice,

For a more romantic experience, I suggest one of the many bed and breakfasts lined up around the Falls, or the Fallsview casino hotel.

 I would love to go back again, with family this time. It was fun to go with friends but I think I will always travel most comfortably with family.

I agree about the B&B's, we saw some really beautiful ones.

The rush and roar of the water was so loud! It was amazing to see the power of these natural wonders.

It was really windy out that day which made it pretty chilly. I was regretting my decision to not change out of my skirt before heading down to the falls. I had to keep grabbing at my skirt to keep it down or else I would have been burning the retinas of the other poor tourists down at the falls that day. It is a good thing I was wearing pretty undies that day, just in case. ;)

:rotfl: about the pretty panties. I only buy cute panties. Life's too short to not wear cute panties! Plus, they cost just as much as the plain ones anyways (if you find a great sale).

That double rainbow is so cool! I gotta keep my eye out for those next time I'm there. Which is hopefully in a couple of weeks cause the weather has been gorgeous lately.
